Bib for holding detachable infant toys

Abstract

A bib ( 100 ) includes a body ( 105 ) made of flexible material, means ( 112 ) for attaching the body around an infant's neck, means ( 110 ) for attaching the body around an infant's torso, and one or more loops ( 120 ), each loop having two ends secured to the body. In one embodiment the bib includes at least one detachable infant toy ( 140 ) attached to at least one of the one or more loops.

1 . A bib, comprising: 
 a body made of flexible material;    means for attaching the body around an infant's neck;    means for attaching the body around an infant's torso; and    one or more of a plurality of loops, each having two ends secured to the body wherein the two ends of at least one, or plurality, of lops are secured adjacent to each other with the loop fold oriented vertically so the loop hangs down in the front when the bib is upright or in normal use.    
   
   
       2 . The bib according to  claim 1 , wherein the flexible material is a fabric.  
   
   
       3 . The bib according to  claim 1 , wherein the one or more loops each comprise a flexible, durable material having a maximum cross sectional dimension less than about 0.50 inch (1.25 cm).

The bib according to  claim 1 , wherein the flexible, durable material is selected from the group of materials consisting of a strip of cloth material, a strip of plastic material, a length of string, a length of cording, a length of lace, a length of ribbon, and a length of rope.  
   
   
       5 . The bib according to  claim 1 , wherein the two ends of each of the one or more loops are secured to the bib by sewing.  
   
   
       6 . The bib according to  claim 1 , wherein the two ends of at least one of the one or more loops are secured adjacent to each other with the loop fold oriented downwards.  
   
   
       7 . The bib according to  claim 1 , wherein the two ends of at least one of the one or more loops are secured apart from each other.  
   
   
       8 . The bib according to  claim 1 , further comprising at least one detachable device attached to at least one of the loops.  
   
   
       9 . A bib, comprising: 
 a body made of flexible fabric;    means for attaching the body around an infant's neck;    means for attaching the body around an infant's torso;    one or more loops, each loop having two ends secured to the body; and    at least one detachable infant toy attached to at least one of the one or more loops.    
   
   
       10 . A bib, comprising: 
 a body made of flexible, washable fabric;    means for attaching the body around an infant's neck;    means for attaching the body around an infant's torso; and    a plurality of loops, each loop having two ends secured to the body adjacent to each other such that the loops hang down, wherein the plurality of loops are made of material that is strong enough and secured well enough to the bib body to withstand normal attachment and detachment of the detachable infant toys to the loops by older persons, to withstand an infant playing with the secured toys, and to withstand normal cleaning of the bib.
