Abstract
A fiber laminate has at least one pre-consolidated spun-bond web made of filaments and comprising at least one fiber layer made of hydrophilic fibers. The fiber laminate is hydrodynamically consolidated and embossing deformations are incorporated in the surface of the hydrodynamically consolidated fiber laminate.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fiber laminate capable of use as an absorbent cleaning cloth, comprising at least one pre-consolidated spun-bond web of filaments and at least one fiber layer of hydrophilic fibers, the fiber laminate being hydrodynamically consolidated, said fiber laminate having embossing deformations incorporated in the surface of the hydrodynamically consolidated fiber laminate.
2 . The fiber laminate according to claim 1 , wherein a plurality of punctiform embossing deformations is provided.
3 . The fiber laminate according to claims 1 wherein linear embossing deformations are provided.
4 . The fiber laminate according to claim 1 wherein an embossing depth of the embossing deformations is 0.1 to 5 mm.
5 . The fiber laminate according to claim 4 wherein said depth is 0.5 to 3 mm.
6 . The fiber laminate according to claim 1 wherein a second pre-consolidated spun-bond web is applied to the fiber layer of hydrophilic fibers applied to the first pre-consolidated spun-bond web.
7 . A method of producing a fiber laminate capable of use as an absorbent cleaning cloth, said method comprising the steps of:
(a) preconsolidating at least one spun-bond web of filaments; (b) applying at least one fiber layer of hydrophilic fibers is applied to the pre-consolidated spun-bond web; (c) wherein the laminate made of spun-bond web ( 3 , 5 ) and fiber layer ( 4 ) is hydrodynamically consolidated, and (d) forming embossing deformations in a surface of the hydrodynamically consolidated fiber laminate.
8 . The method according to claim 6 wherein the pre-consolidation of the at least one spun-bond web is carried out using a calender.
9 . The method according to claim 8 wherein said calendar is a hot-embossing calendar.
10 . The method according to claim 7 , wherein a second pre-consolidated spun-bond web is applied to the fiber layer of hydrophilic fibers and wherein the resulting fiber laminate is then consolidated hydrodynamically.
11 . The method according to claims 10 wherein the fiber laminate is hydrodynamically consolidated by water jet treatment.
12 . The method according to claim 11 wherein the fiber laminate is dried after the hydrodynamic consolidation.
13 . The method according to claims 1 wherein the embossing deformations are produced using an embossing device with at least one structured embossing surface.
14 . The method according to claim 12 wherein the embossing deformations are produced with a structured harder embossing surfaces acting on one side of the fiber laminate and a further embossing surface arranged on the other side of the fiber laminate.
15 . The method according to claim 14 wherein the embossing deformations are produced using at least one roller with a structured embossing surface acting on the fiber laminate.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
