Abstract

A foam pad attachment device comprising a perforated neoprene backed cloth material to allow heat to dissipate from exterior surface of cloth material. The cloth bonnet is wrapped and secured over commercial foam pad or adhered to the front surface of a commercial foam pad to be used in conjunction with a high-speed rotary buff/polish machine.

1 . A foam pad attachment device for securing a bonnet of cloth onto a commercial foam pad. The foam pad attachment device comprising: 
 perforated neoprene material with a primary function to allow heat to dissipate, and second function to cushion polyester/polyamide cloth material, and third function to grip to front surface of commercial foam pad and perforated neoprene material is attached to backside of polyester/polyamide cloth material which both materials comprise the cloth bonnet and perforated neoprene and polyester/polyamide material size to be sufficiently larger to wrap over commercial foam pad. In this manner, the bonnet unit can fully wrap over commercial foam pad which can be connected via backing plate to a high-speed rotary machine utilizing several securing mechanisms.    
   
   
       2 . The foam pad attachment device of  claim 1  wherein the bonnet of cloth and the attachment further comprise the perforated neoprene-polyester/polyamide bonnet. The generally round foam pad attachment device comprises: 
 A polyester/polyamide material is affixed to a perforated neoprene material which both materials to be attached to a thin nylon material which encases a nylon string. The size of perforated neoprene-polyester/polyamide materials to be sufficiently larger to wrap over commercial foam pad. In this manner, the bonnet unit can fully wrap over commercial foam pad and be securely cinched tight by nylon drawstring.    
   
   
       3 . The foam pad attachment device of  claim 1  wherein the commercial foam pad is supplied with an existing VELCRO® backed “loop” surface wherein the bonnet attachment has opposite VELCRO® 1 inch by sufficient length tabs to be secured to backside commercial foam pad. The VELCRO® attachment further comprises the polyester/polyamide bonnet. 
 The generally round foam pad attachment device comprises:    Flat BUNGEE® which is affixed to the both the perforated neoprene and polyester/polyamide material. Affixed to the flat BUNGEE® is VELCRO® “hook” fasteners; four fasteners to be located approximately 45 degrees from each other. The perforated neoprene and polyester/polyamide material to be of sufficient size to wrap over standard commercial foam pad which has an existing VELCRO® backed “loop” surface to accept the bonnet's VELCRO® “hook” fasteners.    
   
   
       4 . The foam pad attachment device of  claim 1  wherein the cloth bonnet and the attachment further comprises the polyester/polyamide cloth bonnet. The commercial foam pad attachment device comprises: 
 a polyester/polyamide cloth material to be adhered to the typical front side of commercial foam pad and between the front side surface of commercial foam pad and backside of polyester/polyamide cloth material there shall be a thin perforated compressed neoprene material to act as a medium for applying adhesive and have a primary function to allow heat to dissipate from the exterior surface, and a secondary function to act as a cushion for the polyester/polyamide cloth material.    The invention can generally be adhered onto a standard commercial foam pad by above mentioned procedure or be produced via a newly manufactured circular foam pad specifically for applying polyester/polyamide cloth material by the aforementioned process.
