Zinc oxide containing surfactant solution

Abstract

A cleaning composition for all purpose cleaners, light duty liquids, shampoos, foam baths, liquid hand soaps, fine fabric detergents, liquid skin cleansing products, dishware paste, dishware bars and shower gels which include at least one surfactant, zinc oxide having a particle size of 10 to 30 nm, and water.

         4 . A light duty liquid dishwashing composition with suspended nanoparticles of zinc oxide which comprises approximately by weight: 
 (a) 0 to 20% of an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a C 8-18  ethoxylated alkyl ether sulfate surfactant and/or a C 8-18  alkyl sulfate surfactant;    (b) 5% to 30% of an alkaline earth metal or alkali metal salt of an anionic C 9-18  alkyl benzene sulfonate surfactant;    (c) 0.01% to 1% of said solid particles of said zinc oxide of a particle size ranging between 5 and 2000 nm; and    (d) the balance being water, wherein the dishwashing composition further includes an amine oxide surfactant, an alkyl polyglucoside surfactant, and at least one solubilizer which is selected from the group consisting of sodium, potassium and ammonium salts of cumene, xylene and toluene sulfonates, C 1 -C 4  alkanols, glycerol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol and propylene glycol and mixtures thereof.    
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 4 , wherein said solubilizer is sodium xylene sulfonate and ethanol.  
     
     
         6 . The composition of  claim 4 , further including a magnesium inorganic acid.

         8 . A cleaning composition for all purpose cleaners, light duty liquids, shampoos, foam baths, liquid hand soaps, shower gels, liquid skin cleansing products and fine fabric detergents, dishware bars, dishware paste which comprises approximately by weight: 
 (a) 1% to 50% of at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of sulfonated anionic surfactants, sulfated anionic surfactants, phosphated anionics, ether alkyl carboxylates, zwitterionic surfactants, C 12 -C 14  alkanol amide surfactants, amine oxide surfactants, ethoxylated nonionic surfactants, ethoxylated/propoxylated nonionic surfactants and alkyl polyglucoside surfactants and mixtures thereof wherein, at least, one of the surfactants is an anionic surfactant;    (b) 0.01% to 1% of Nano-particulates of zinc oxide which function as an anti-irritant system for the surfactants; and    (c) the balance being water, wherein the cleaning composition further includes at least one solubilizer which is selected from the group consisting of sodium, potassium, and ammonium salts of cumene, toluene and xylene sulfonates, C 1 -C 4  alkanols, glycerol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol and propylene glycol and mixtures thereof.
