Method for encouraging lowering of a toilet seat lid

Abstract

Lowering of a toilet seat lid onto a toilet seat when a toilet is not in use is encouraged by the use of a toilet seat lid having a lid body, with an upper surface, and an actual map secured, typically laminated, to the upper surface. The map is visible when the toilet seat lid is lowered onto the toilet seat. The area of interest may be an activity of interest and/or a geographical area of interest of interest for a potential user. The map may also be personalized for a potential user. The map may comprises at least one of the following: an aircraft navigation map, a nautical chart, a ski lift/run map, a road map, a trail map and a topographic map.

1 . A method for encouraging lowering of a toilet seat lid onto a toilet seat when a toilet is not in use, comprising: 
 determining an area of interest for a potential user;    selecting an actual map according to the area of interest; and    securing the map to an upper surface of a toilet seat lid, whereby the map is visible when the toilet seat lid is lowered onto a toilet seat.    
   
   
       2 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining step comprises determining a geographical area of interest.  
   
   
       3 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining step comprises determining an activity of interest.  
   
   
       4 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining step comprises determining an activity of interest within a geographical area of interest.  
   
   
       5 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining and selecting steps are carried out in a manner to result in selecting an aircraft navigation map as the map.  
   
   
       6 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining and selecting steps are carried out in a manner to result in selecting a nautical chart as the map.  
   
   
       7 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining and selecting steps are carried out in a manner to result in selecting a ski lift/run map as the map.  
   
   
       8 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining and selecting steps are carried out in a manner to result in selecting a road map as the map.  
   
   
       9 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the determining and selecting steps are carried out in a manner to result in selecting a topographic map as the map.  
   
   
       10 . The method according to  claim 1  further comprising personalizing the map for a potential user.  
   
   
       11 . The method according to  claim 10  wherein the personalizing step comprises adding identifying indicia for a potential user to the map.  
   
   
       12 . The method according to  claim 10  wherein the personalizing step comprises adding the call letters for a potential user's airplane.  
   
   
       13 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the securing step comprises laminating the map to the upper surface of the toilet seat lid.  
   
   
       14 . A method for encouraging lowering of a toilet seat lid onto a toilet seat when a toilet is not in use, comprising: 
 determining an area of interest for a potential user by determining an activity of interest within a geographical area of interest for the potential user;    selecting an actual map according to the area of interest, the actual map comprising at least one of the following: an aircraft navigation map, a nautical chart, a ski lift/run map, a road map, a trail map and a topographic map;    personalizing the map for the potential user; and    laminating the map to an upper surface of a toilet seat lid, whereby the map is visible when the toilet seat lid is lowered onto the toilet seat.    
   
   
       15 . A toilet seat lid comprising: 
 a lid body having an upper surface; and    an actual map secured to the upper surface;    whereby the map is visible when the toilet seat lid is lowered onto the toilet seat.    
   
   
       16 . The toilet seat lid according to  claim 15  wherein the map comprises at least one of the following: an aircraft navigation map, a nautical chart, a ski lift/run map, a road map, a trail map and a topographic map.  
   
   
       17 . The toilet seat lid according to  claim 16  wherein the map is laminated to the upper surface of the toilet seat lid.  
   
   
       18 . The toilet seat lid according to  claim 15  further comprising a personalization on the map.  
   
   
       19 . A toilet seat lid comprising: 
 a lid body having an upper surface;    an actual map laminated to the upper surface;    a personalization on the map; and    the map comprising at least one of the following: an aircraft navigation map, a nautical chart, a ski lift/run map, a road map, a trail map and a topographic map;    whereby the map is visible when the toilet seat lid is lowered onto the toilet seat.
