Abstract

The invention involves methods of regulating cell growth and division to control disease processes by manipulating mitochondrial metabolism and the expression of cell surface immune proteins. The invention also involves related compositions and screening assays.

         143 . A method of inducing tumor cell death, comprising administering to a subject, a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-HLA-DR antibody effective to induce tumor cell death in HLA-DR-expressing tumor cells.  
     
     
         144 . The method of  claim 143  wherein the therapeutic outcome of the subject is improved following said administration.  
     
     
         145 . The method of treating cancer according to  claim 144  wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of multiple myeloma, lymphoma's including Hodgkin's lymphomas, lymphocytic lymphomas and leukemias.
