Lock device of retractable handle of luggage
Abstract
A lock device of a retractable handle has a base and a slide movably mounted on the base for movement between a first position and a second position. The slide has two lateral sides on each of which has a lowland portion, an upland portion and a guiding portion between the lowland portion and the upland portion. Two springs exert the slide moving to the first position. A first ball and a second ball are respectively against the lateral sides of the slide. The first ball is moved to the upland portion and the other ball is moved to the lowland portion while the slide is moved to the first position and the first ball is moved to the lowland portion and the second ball is moved to the upland portion while the slide is moved to the second position.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A lock device of a retractable handle, comprising:
a base; a slide movably mounted on the base for movement between a first position and a second position, wherein the slide has a lateral side on which has a lowland portion and an upland portion; a spring adapted to exert the slide moving to the first position, and a ball against the lateral side of the slide to be moved to the upland portion of the slide while the slide is moved to the first position and to be moved to the lowland portion while the slide is moved to the second position.
2 . The retractable handle as defined in claim 1 , wherein the base of the lock device has a seat, two walls projected from the seat and between the walls is a chamber in which the slide is received.
3 . The retractable handle as defined in claim 2 , wherein the wall of the base has a hook portion and the slide has a hook portion.
4 . The retractable handle as defined in claim 1 , wherein the slide further has a guiding portion on the lateral side at where between the lowland portion and the upland portion.
5 . A lock device of a retractable handle, comprising:
a base; a slide movably mounted on the base for movement between a first position and a second position, wherein the slide has two lateral sides on each of which has a lowland portion and an upland portion respectively; a spring adapted to exert the slide moving to the first position, and a first ball and a second ball respectively against the lateral sides of the slide, wherein the first ball is moved to the upland portion and the second ball is moved to the lowland portion while the slide is moved to the first position and the first ball is moved to the lowland portion and the second ball is moved to the upland portion while the slide is moved to the second position; wherein the slide is further moved to a third position at where between the first position and the second position, in which both of the first ball and the second ball are moved to the lowland portions respectively.
6 . The retractable handle as defined in claim 5 , wherein the base of the lock device has a seat, two walls projected from the seat and between the walls is a chamber in which the slide is received.
7 . The retractable handle as defined in claim 6 , wherein the wall of the base has a hook portion and the slide has a hook portion.
8 . The retractable handle as defined in claim 1 , wherein the slide further has two guiding portions on the lateral sides respectively at where between the lowland portions and the upland portions.
9 . A retractable handle, comprising:
a first tube, a second tube and a third tube fitted to each other for movement between an extended condition and a retracted condition, each of which has a first end and a second end; wherein the first tube has a ball hole to the second end thereof and the second tube has a first and a second ball holes adjacent to the second end thereof, a first hole adjacent to the first end thereof and a second hole above the first ball hole and the third tube has a first and a second ball holes adjacent to the second end thereof, a first hole adjacent to the first end thereof and a second hole above the second ball hole; wherein in the extended condition, the ball hole of the first tube aligns the first hole of the second tube and the first ball hole of the second tube aligns the first hole of the third tube and in the retracted condition, the ball hole of the first tube aligns the second hole of the second tube and the second ball hole of the second tube aligns the second hole of the third tube; a first lock device having a base, a slide movably mounted on the base for movement between a first position and a second position, a spring adapted to exert the slide to the first position and a ball, wherein the first lock device is mounted to the first tube and the ball having a portion received in the ball hole of the first tube; wherein the slide of the first lock device has a lateral side on which has a lowland portion, an upland portion and a guiding portion between the lowland portion and the upland portion and the ball is moved to the upland portion while the slide is moved to the first position and the ball is moved to the lowland portion while the slide is moved to the second position, and a second lock device having a base, a slide movably mounted on the base for movement between a first position and a second position, a spring adapted to exert the slide to the first position, a first ball and a second ball, wherein the second lock device is mounted to the second tube and the first and the second balls respectively have a portion received in the first ball hole and the second ball hole of the second tube; wherein the slide of the second lock device has two lateral sides, on each of which has a lowland portion, an upland portion and a guiding portion between the lowland portion and the upland portion and the first ball is moved to the upland portion and the second ball is moved to the lowland portion while the slide is moved to the first position and the first ball is moved to the lowland portion and the second ball is moved to the upland portion while the slide is moved to the second position; wherein the slide is further moved to a third position at where between the first position and the second position, in which both of the first ball and the second ball are moved to the lowland portions respectively.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
