Abstract

An improved building construction panel used to protect the outside surfaces of a building from all forms of weather related damage is formed from two layers of corrugated members bonded to either side of an intermediate insulative sheet. The subject panel is treated to be moisture proof, weather resistant, fire resistant, not attractive to insets, fungus and/or mold and uses only environmentally friendly materials. The construction of the subject panel promotes the rebounding of objects striking its outer surface without damage to the panel.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An improved building structural panel comprising:
a first member of stiff corrugated material; an intermediate sheet of insulative material; and a second member of stiff corrugated material, said corrugated members being bonded to opposite sides of said intermediate sheet.

2 . An improved building structural panel according to claim 1 wherein
said corrugated members are formed from plastics material.

3 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein:
said corrugated members are formed from wood pulp product.

4 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said corrugated members are bonded to said intermediate sheet with the corrugations running normal to each other.

5 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said corrugated members are bonded to said intermediate sheet with the corrugations running parallel to each other.

6 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said corrugated members are coated with a fungicide.

7 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said corrugated members are coated with a fire retardant material.

8 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said corrugated members are coated with a mold defeating material.

9 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said corrugated members are coated with a resilient material to promote rebounding of object striking said panel

10 . An improved building construction panel according to claim further comprising:
a layer of resilient material spanning the outer side of the outer corrugated member.

11 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 10 wherein
said resilient material is in the form of a fiber coating.

12 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said resilient material closely adheres to the shape of the corrugated member.

13 . An improved building construction panel according to claim 1 wherein
said resilient material spans the peaks of the corrugated member.
