Abstract

A method for enhancing delivery of at least one substance through a surface of and into a subject. The method includes situating the substance adjacent to the surface of the subject. The method includes placing at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device adjacent to the substance such and to the subject. And, applying at least one alternating ultrasonic signal to the substance using the ultrasonic signal emitting device so as to effect movement of at least a portion of the substance through the surface and into the subject.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for enhancing delivery of at least one substance through a surface of and into a subject, said method comprising:
placing at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device adjacent to said at least one substance and to said subject; and, applying at least one waveform alternating ultrasonic signal to said at least one substance using said ultrasonic signal emitting device to effect movement of at least a portion of said at least one substance through said surface and into said subject.

2 . A method for enhancing delivery of at least one substance through a surface of and into a living subject, said method comprising:
placing at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device adjacent to said at least one substance and to said subject; and, applying at least one ultrasonic signal to said at least one substance using said ultrasonic signal emitting device to effect movement of at least a portion of said at least one substance through said surface and into said subject; wherein, said at least one ultrasonic signal includes at least a square waveform portion and a sawtooth waveform portion.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said waveform alternating ultrasonic signal comprises at least a square waveform portion.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein said waveform alternating ultrasonic signal comprises at least a saw tooth waveform portion.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device is wearable to said subject.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device is programmable.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal has a frequency greater than about 20 kHz.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal has a frequency less than about 100 kHz.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said delivery of said at least one substance is via a combination of hair follicles and a pore system of said surface of said subject.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device comprises at least one cymbal type transducer.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one substance is insulin.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said device comprises means for securing said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device to said subject.

13 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device is wearable to said subject.

14 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device is programmable.

15 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal has a frequency greater than about 20 kHz.

16 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal has a frequency less than about 100 kHz.

17 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said delivery of said at least one substance is via a combination of hair follicles and a pore system of said surface of said subject.

18 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device comprises at least one cymbal type transducer.

19 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said at least one substance is insulin.

20 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said device comprises means for securing said at least one ultrasonic signal emitting device to said subject.
