Abstract

An anti-theft device for items having portions that can be surrounded by straps, comprising a strap, a container that contains an excitable signaling component and an engagement element in which one end of the strap can be inserted and locked, the strap incorporating at least partially a metallic insert.

       7 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein said metallic insert is inserted in said strap.  
   
   
       8 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein said metallic insert is embedded in plastic material that is overmolded thereon.  
   
   
       9 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein said metallic insert is formed by a spring steel lamina.  
   
   
       10 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein said metallic insert is formed by spring steel wire.
