Multi-piece bra

Abstract

The device of the present invention provides a backless, strapless bra that provides support and/or cleavage to a wearer's breasts and the components of which are not visible, even when worn with a wide variety of revealing outer garments. A first aspect of the invention provides a backless and strapless bra comprising at least one cup member for supporting a front surface of a wearer's breast, and at least one support member for supporting an underside of a wearer's breast, wherein each cup member is unattached to a support member and any other cup member.

1 . A backless and strapless bra comprising: 
 at least one cup member for supporting a front surface of a wearer's breast; and    at least one support member for supporting an underside of a wearer's breast,    wherein each cup member is unattached to any support member and any other cup member.    
   
   
       2 . The bra of  claim 1 , wherein a shape of the cup member is selected from a group consisting of round, oval, “eye-shaped,” half-round, half-oval, partial half-round, partial half-oval, and elliptical.  
   
   
       3 . The bra of  claim 1 , wherein the support member is an elongate member residing on an underside of a wearer's breast.  
   
   
       4 . The bra of  claim 1 , wherein at least one end of the support member is rounded.  
   
   
       5 . The bra of  claim 1 , wherein a first support member and a second support member reside on an underside of a wearer's breast, the second support member being more proximal than the first support member.  
   
   
       6 . The bra of  claim 5 , wherein at least one end of at least one of the first support member and the second support member is rounded.  
   
   
       7 . The bra of  claim 1 , wherein the material of at least one of the cup member and the support member includes at least one of a cloth and a silicone.  
   
   
       8 . The bra of  claim 7 , wherein the cloth is a tricote.  
   
   
       9 . The bra of  claim 1 , further comprising an adhesive for securing at least one of the cup member and the support member to a wearer's breast.  
   
   
       10 . The bra of  claim 9 , wherein the adhesive is pressure sensitive.  
   
   
       11 . The bra of  claim 9 , wherein the adhesive is applied to a portion of at least one of the cup member and the support member.  
   
   
       12 . The bra of  claim 1 , wherein the cup member includes at least one underwire.  
   
   
       13 . The bra of  claim 1 , wherein the cup member is padded.  
   
   
       14 . The bra of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one support tab.  
   
   
       15 . The bra of  claim 14 , wherein the at least one support tab is attached to the cup member.  
   
   
       16 . A backless and strapless bra comprising: 
 a set of cup members for supporting a front surface of a wearer's breast;    a set of support members for supporting an underside of a wearer's breast; and    at least one mesh member connecting a support member to at least one of a cup member and a second support member,    wherein each cup member is unattached to any other cup member.    
   
   
       17 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein a shape of the cup member is selected from a group consisting of round, oval, “eye-shaped,” half-round, half-oval, partial half-round, partial half-oval, and elliptical.  
   
   
       18 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein the support member is an elongate member residing on an underside of a wearer's breast.  
   
   
       19 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein at least one end of the support member is rounded.  
   
   
       20 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein a first support member and a second support member reside on an underside of a wearer's breast, the second support member being more proximal than the first support member.  
   
   
       21 . The bra of  claim 20 , wherein at least one end of at least one of the first support member and the second support member is rounded.  
   
   
       22 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein the material of the mesh member includes at least one of a cloth and a silicone.  
   
   
       23 . The bra of  claim 22 , wherein the cloth is a tricote.  
   
   
       24 . The bra of  claim 16 , further comprising at least one support tab.  
   
   
       25 . The bra of  claim 24 , wherein the at least one support tab is attached to the cup member.  
   
   
       26 . The bra of  claim 24 , wherein the material of the support tab includes at least one of a cloth and a silicone.  
   
   
       27 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein the cup member includes at least one underwire.  
   
   
       28 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein the cup member is padded.  
   
   
       29 . The bra of  claim 16 , wherein the material of the mesh member includes at least one of a cloth and a silicone.  
   
   
       30 . The bra of  claim 29 , wherein the cloth is a tricote.  
   
   
       31 . The bra of  claim 16 , further comprising an adhesive for securing at least one of a cup member and a support member to a wearer's breast.  
   
   
       32 . The bra of  claim 31 , wherein the adhesive is pressure sensitive.  
   
   
       33 . A backless and strapless bra comprising: 
 at least one cup member for supporting a front surface of a wearer's breast; and    at least one support member for supporting an underside of a wearer's breast,    wherein the at least one cup member and the at least one support member comprise sufficient adhesion to secure the cup member and the support member to a wearer's breast.    
   
   
       34 . The bra of  claim 33 , wherein the material of at least one of the cup member and the support member is a silicone.  
   
   
       35 . The bra of  claim 33 , further comprising a mesh member connecting a support member to at least one of a cup member and a second support member.  
   
   
       36 . The bra of  claim 33 , further comprising at least one tab support.  
   
   
       37 . A backless and strapless bra comprising: 
 a pair of cup members for supporting a front surface of each of a wearer's breasts; and    at least two support members for supporting an underside of each of a wearer's breasts,    wherein a first cup member is unattached to a second cup member.    
   
   
       38 . The bra of  claim 37 , wherein a shape of each cup member is selected from a group consisting of round, oval, “eye-shaped,” half-round, half-oval, partial half-round, partial half-oval, and elliptical.  
   
   
       39 . The bra of  claim 37 , wherein at least one support member is an elongate member residing on an underside of a wearer's breast.  
   
   
       40 . The bra of  claim 37 , wherein at least one end of at least one support member is rounded.  
   
   
       41 . The bra of  claim 37 , further comprising an adhesive for securing at least one of the cup members and the support members to a wearer's breast.  
   
   
       42 . The bra of  claim 41 , wherein the adhesive is pressure sensitive.  
   
   
       43 . The bra of  claim 41 , wherein the adhesive is applied to a portion of at least one of a cup member and a support member.  
   
   
       44 . The bra of  claim 37 , wherein the material of at least one of a cup member and a support member includes at least one of a cloth and a silicone.  
   
   
       45 . The bra of  claim 44 , wherein the cloth is a tricote.  
   
   
       46 . The bra of  claim 37 , wherein at least one cup member includes at least one underwire.
