Case with a reinforced bottom
Abstract
A case includes a bottom shell member and a main shell member. The bottom shell member is made of a rigid material, and includes a bottom wall and a peripheral wall extending upwardly and integrally from a periphery of the bottom wall. The main shell member includes a hollow case body and a panel body. The case body has a lower portion that is connected fixedly to the peripheral wall such that the case body cooperates with the bottom shell member to form a receiving space of the case, and is formed with an access opening that permits access into the receiving space. The panel body is connected movably to the case body so as to permit closing and opening of the access opening.
Claims

a bottom shell member made of a rigid material, and including a bottom wall and a peripheral wall extending upwardly and integrally from a periphery of said bottom wall; and a main shell member including
a hollow case body having a lower portion that is connected fixedly to said peripheral wall such that said case body cooperates with said bottom shell member to form a receiving space of said case, said case body being formed with an access opening that permits access into said receiving space, and
a panel body connected movably to said case body so as to permit closing and opening of said access opening.
2 . The case as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a connecting unit for interconnecting said case body and said panel body.
3 . The case as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said connecting unit is a zipper.
4 . The case as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said case body has a top side opposite to said bottom wall of said bottom shell member, said case further comprising a pull handle mounted on said top side of said case body.
5 . The case as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a set of casters mounted on said bottom wall of said bottom shell member.
6 . The case as claimed in claim 5 , further comprising an auxiliary support mounted on said bottom wall of said bottom shell member and cooperating with said casters to permit said case to stand stably on a ground surface.
7 . The case as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said auxiliary support is generally U-shaped, and has opposite ends connected to said bottom wall of said bottom shell member, and a height corresponding to those of said casters.
8 . The case as claimed in claim 5 , wherein said bottom wall of said bottom shell member is rectangular, said casters being mounted respectively on four corners of said bottom wall of said bottom shell member.
9 . The case as claimed in claim 8 , further comprising an auxiliary handle mounted on an intermediate part of said bottom wall of said bottom shell member.
10 . The case as claimed in claim 9 , wherein said auxiliary handle is generally U-shaped, and has opposite ends connected to said bottom wall of said bottom shell member, and a height less than those of said casters.
11 . The case as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said case body has a front side formed with said access opening.
12 . The case as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a retractable handle assembly mounted on said case body.
13 . The case as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said case body has opposite lateral sides, said case further comprising a pull handle mounted on one of said lateral sides, and a set of foot posts mounted on the other one of said lateral sides.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
