Abstract

An in-line roller skate with adjustable dimension for adjusting the dimension of the shoe cap of the roller skate includes an adjusting mechanism which adopts a thread design. It has a first adjusting member located on the truck and a second adjusting member located on the bottom section of a two-piece shoe cap to couple with a turning knob at the rear end. By rotating the turning knob, the matching worms on the adjusting mechanism may be moved forwards or rearwards to drive the shoe cap to move forwards or rearwards. When rotation of the turning knob is stopped, the screw threads on the adjusting mechanism are latched to anchor the shoe cap, therefore the dimension of the roller skate may be adjusted.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An in-line roller skate with adjustable dimension to be worn by a foot of users during roller skating exercises, comprising:
a truck having a sliding track on a top section, a plurality of wheels on a bottom section, and a holding trough; a two-piece shoe cap braced by the truck including a toe cap anchored on the truck and a heel cap which has a sliding section on a lower section matching the sliding track to allow the heel cap to be slidable thereon; and an adjusting mechanism including a first adjusting member located on the heel cap and a second adjusting member located on the truck, the second adjusting member having a screw thread section at one end and a turning knob at other end, the first adjusting member having another screw thread section mating the screw thread section of the second adjusting member such that by adjusting the second adjusting member the heel cap is moved to adjust the dimension of the roller skate.

2 . The in-line roller skate with adjustable dimension of claim 1 , wherein the first adjusting member is located on the toe cap.

3 . The in-line roller skate with adjustable dimension of claim 2 , wherein the toe cap has an anchor section located on the bottom thereof, the truck having an anchor cavity.

4 . The in-line roller skate with adjustable dimension of claim 3 , wherein the anchor section of the toe cap is engaged with the anchor cavity of the truck for anchoring the toe cap on the truck.

5 . The in-line roller skate with adjustable dimension of claim 1 , wherein the toe cap has an anchor screw on the bottom thereof, the heel cap having a sliding slot on the bottom thereof mating an aperture formed on a rear side of the top section of the truck.

6 . The in-line roller skate with adjustable dimension of claim 5 , wherein the anchor screw on the bottom of the toe cap passes through the sliding slot of the heel cap to engage with the aperture of the truck so that the toe cap is fixed on a front side of the truck and the heel cap is slidable on the rear side of the truck.
