Foldable pivot leg assembly for banquet table with plastic tabletop

Abstract

A foldable pivot leg assembly for a banquet table includes a pair of table supporting frames foldably affixing to a tabletop, wherein each of the table supporting frames includes a leg frame having an upper end portion for pivotally mounting between two tabletop supports, and a supporting frame including two supporting arms each having a lower retention portion and an upper supporting portion for transversely and pivotally mounting at the respective tabletop support to rigidly support the top panel, and a folding frame pivotally connected between the retention portions of the supporting arms and the leg frame. Therefore, in a folded position, the leg frames are pivotally and inwardly folded for resting under the top panel, and in an unfolded position, the leg frames are firmly and rigidly supported by the supporting frame and pivotally and outwardly folded for perpendicularly standing under the top panel.

1 . A foldable pivot leg assembly for a banquet table with a tabletop which comprises a plastic made top panel and two tabletop supports longitudinally supported under the top panel along two side edge portions thereof respectively, wherein said foldable pivot leg assembly comprises: 
 a pair of table supporting frames for foldably and spacedly affixing to said tabletop, wherein each of said table supporting frames comprises:    a leg frame having an upper end portion for pivotally mounting between said two tabletop supports; and    a supporting frame comprising two supporting arms each having a lower retention portion and an upper supporting portion for transversely and pivotally mounting at said respective tabletop support, and a folding frame having two ends pivotally connected with said retention portions of said supporting arms and said leg frame respectively in such a manner that in a folded position, said leg frames are pivotally and inwardly folded for resting under said top panel, and in an unfolded position, said leg frames are firmly and rigidly supported by said supporting frame and pivotally and outwardly unfolded for perpendicularly standing under said top panel.

The foldable pivot leg assembly, as recited in  claim 1 , wherein each of said supporting arms, having a L-shaped, defines said retention portion pivotally connected to said folding frame and said supporting portion for transversely and pivotally mounting at said respective tabletop support in a detachably attaching manner, such that said retention portions of said two supporting arms are parallelly extended alongside to pivotally connect to said folding frame.

The foldable pivot leg assembly, as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said folding frame comprises two folding arms pivotally connected to said leg frame and a pivot joint pivotally connecting end portions of said folding arms with end portions of said supporting arms, wherein said end portions of said supporting arms are sandwiched between said end portions of said folding arms, so as to hold said supporting arms in position with respect to said tabletop.

The foldable pivot leg assembly, as recited in  claim 2 , wherein said folding frame comprises two folding arms pivotally connected to said leg frame and a pivot joint pivotally connecting end portions of said folding arms with end portions of said supporting arms, wherein said end portions of said supporting arms are sandwiched between said end portions of said folding arms, so as to hold said supporting arms in position with respect to said tabletop.

The foldable pivot leg assembly, as recited in  claim 2 , wherein each of said supporting frames further comprises a ring-shaped locker slidably mounted to said supporting arms along said retention portions thereof for locking up said supporting arms with said folding frame at said unfolded position.

The foldable pivot leg assembly, as recited in  claim 3 , wherein each of said supporting frames further comprises a ring-shaped locker slidably mounted to said supporting arms along said retention portions thereof for locking up said supporting arms with said folding frame at said unfolded position.

The foldable pivot leg assembly, as recited in  claim 4 , wherein each of said supporting frames further comprises a ring-shaped locker slidably mounted to said supporting arms along said retention portions thereof for locking up said supporting arms with said folding frame at said unfolded position.  
   
   
       8 . A banquet table, comprising: 
 a tabletop comprising a plastic made top panel and two tabletop supports longitudinally supported under said top panel along two side edge portions thereof respectively; and    a foldable pivot leg assembly comprising a pair of table supporting frames foldably and spacedly affixed to said tabletop, wherein each of said table supporting frames comprises:    a leg frame having an upper end portion pivotally mounted between said two tabletop supports; and    a supporting frame comprising two supporting arms each having a lower retention portion and an upper supporting portion transversely and pivotally mounted at said respective tabletop support, and a folding frame having two ends pivotally connected with said retention portions of said supporting arms and said leg frame respectively in such a manner that in a folded position, said leg frames are pivotally and inwardly folded to rest under said top panel, and in an unfolded position, said leg frames are pivotally and outwardly unfolded to perpendicularly stand under said top panel and firmly and rigidly supported by said supporting frame.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 8 , wherein each of said supporting arms, having a L-shaped, defines said retention portion pivotally connected to said folding frame and said supporting portion transversely and rotatably mounted at said respective tabletop support in a detachably attaching manner, such that said retention portions of said two supporting arms are parallelly extended alongside to pivotally connect to said folding frame.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 8 , wherein said folding frame comprises two folding arms pivotally connected to said leg frame and a pivot joint pivotally connecting end portions of said folding arms with end portions of said supporting arms, wherein said end portions of said supporting arms are sandwiched between said end portions of said folding arms, so as to hold said supporting arms in position with respect to said tabletop.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 9 , wherein said folding frame comprises two folding arms pivotally connected to said leg frame and a pivot joint pivotally connecting end portions of said folding arms with end portions of said supporting arms, wherein said end portions of said supporting arms are sandwiched between said end portions of said folding arms, so as to hold said supporting arms in position with respect to said tabletop.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 9 , wherein each of said supporting frames further comprises a ring-shaped locker slidably mounted to said supporting arms along said retention portions thereof for locking up said supporting arms with said folding frame at said unfolded position.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 11 , wherein each of said supporting frames further comprises a ring-shaped locker slidably mounted to said supporting arms along said retention portions thereof for locking up said supporting arms with said folding frame at said unfolded position.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 8 , wherein said top panel has a surrounding rim downwardly extended from said edge portion thereof, wherein said surrounding rim has an outer sidewall and an inner sidewall to define a receiving track longitudinally formed under said top panel along said respective side edge portion thereof, wherein said tabletop supports are securely mounted within said receiving tracks respectively.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 13 , wherein said top panel has a surrounding rim downwardly extended from said edge portion thereof, wherein said surrounding rim has an outer sidewall and an inner sidewall to define a receiving track longitudinally formed under said top panel along said respective side edge portion thereof, wherein said tabletop supports are securely mounted within said receiving tracks respectively.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 14 , further comprising an attachment arrangement for mounting said foldable pivot leg assembly to said tabletop, wherein said attachment arrangement comprises four attachment members and four coupling members, wherein said four attaching members are spacedly extended from said two tabletop supports at two side portions of said top panel respectively to rotatably insert into outer ends of said leg frame respectively so as to pivotally connect said leg frames with said top panel, and wherein said four coupling members are spacedly extended from said two tabletop supports respectively to rotatably insert into outer ends of said four supporting arms so as to pivotally connect said supporting arms with said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 15 , further comprising an attachment arrangement for mounting said foldable pivot leg assembly to said tabletop, wherein said attachment arrangement comprises four attachment members and four coupling members, wherein said four attaching members are spacedly extended from said two tabletop supports at two side portions of said top panel respectively to rotatably insert into outer ends of said leg frame respectively so as to pivotally connect said leg frames with said top panel, and wherein said four coupling members are spacedly extended from said two tabletop supports respectively to rotatably insert into outer ends of said four supporting arms so as to pivotally connect said supporting arms with said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 16 , said top panel further has a plurality of guiding slots spacedly formed on said inner sidewall of said surrounding rim to respectively align with said attachment members and said coupling members such that said tabletop supports are connected to said leg frames and said supporting arms via said attachment arrangement through said guiding slots of said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 17 , said top panel further has a plurality of guiding slots spacedly formed on said inner sidewall of said surrounding rim to respectively align with said attachment members and said coupling members such that said tabletop supports are connected to said leg frames and said supporting arms via said attachment arrangement through said guiding slots of said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 14 , further comprising an attachment arrangement for mounting said foldable pivot leg assembly to said tabletop, wherein said attachment arrangement contains four attachment holes and four coupling holes, wherein said four attaching holes are spacedly provided at said two tabletop supports at two side portions of said top panel for outer ends of said leg frame to rotatably insert thereinto respectively so as to pivotally connect said leg frames with said top panel, and wherein said four coupling holes are spacedly provided at said two tabletop supports respectively for outer ends of said four supporting arms to rotatably insert thereinto respectively so as to pivotally connect said supporting arms with said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 15 , further comprising an attachment arrangement for mounting said foldable pivot leg assembly to said tabletop, wherein said attachment arrangement contains four attachment holes and four coupling holes, wherein said four attaching holes are spacedly provided at said two tabletop supports at two side portions of said top panel for outer ends of said leg frame to rotatably insert thereinto respectively so as to pivotally connect said leg frames with said top panel, and wherein said four coupling holes are spacedly provided at said two tabletop supports respectively for outer ends of said four supporting arms to rotatably insert thereinto respectively so as to pivotally connect said supporting arms with said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 20 , wherein said top panel further has a plurality of guiding slots spacedly formed on said inner sidewall of said surrounding rim to respectively align with said attachment holes and said coupling holes such that said tabletop supports are connected to said leg frames and said supporting arms via said attachment arrangement through said guiding slots of said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said top panel further has a plurality of guiding slots spacedly formed on said inner sidewall of said surrounding rim to respectively align with said attachment holes and said coupling holes such that said tabletop supports are connected to said leg frames and said supporting arms via said attachment arrangement through said guiding slots of said top panel.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 15 , wherein said tabletop further comprises a folding joint formed at a mid-portion of said tabletop at a position between said two table supporting frames, wherein said top panel defines two side panels rotatably mounted with each other via said folding joint in such a manner that said side panels are adapted to fold in an overlapped manner.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 19 , wherein said tabletop further comprises a folding joint formed at a mid-portion of said tabletop at a position between said two table supporting frames, wherein said top panel defines two side panels rotatably mounted with each other via said folding joint in such a manner that said side panels are adapted to fold in an overlapped manner.

The banquet table, as recited in  claim 23 , wherein said tabletop further comprises a folding joint formed at a mid-portion of said tabletop at a position between said two table supporting frames, wherein said top panel defines two side panels rotatably mounted with each other via said folding joint in such a manner that said side panels are adapted to fold in an overlapped manner.
