Method and system for advertising real estate over the Internet

Abstract

An Internet-based method and system permits users to list their real estate properties on respective web site pages, edit their pages, and create new pages for additional listings. A feature of the invention provides for opening a domain name file for each new page and for E-mailing a request to register the new domain names. Such web site creation and editing may be made whenever the user wishes by simply accessing a home page, entering a corresponding service function such as editing an existing page or creating a new page. The user can then carry out the selected function from a personal computer over the Internet. The domain name may correspond to a parameter of the property such as its street address.

         19 . A method of advertising a real estate property over the internet comprising the steps of: 
 a) providing an administrative web site that allows a user to create a web site that contains information about the real estate property for sale, the information including a street address;    b) creating the web site step, the creating step including registering a web site domain name wherein the registered domain name includes the street address of the real estate property followed by a domain designation; and    b) providing access to the registered domain name so that a potential buyer may obtain information on the real estate property.    
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein the created web site is an editable web site that allows the user to alter information about the real estate property found on the created web site.  
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 20 , wherein either the administrative web site or a URL found on the created web site is accessed to edit the created web site.  
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein the user is charged a fee for creating the web site.  
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein the administrative web site includes data entry options including a new web site layout and a web site domain name, whereby data related to the real estate property may be entered.
