Abstract

The instant invention provides for the identification, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of invasive cells using the laminin 5 gamma-2 chain protein or nucleic acid sequence, or antibodies thereto.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 33 . (Canceled)

34 . A method for inhibiting tumor cell invasion of non-malignant tissue, comprising administering to an individual in need thereof an antibody to a laminin 5 gamma 2 chain to inhibit tumor cell invasion of non-malignant tissue in the individual.

35 . The method of claim 34 wherein the antibody is a polyclonal antibody.

36 . The method of claim 34 wherein the antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

37 . A method for inhibiting the budding of tumor masses, comprising administering to an individual in need thereof an antibody to a laminin 5 gamma 2 chain to inhibit budding of tumor masses in the individual.

38 . The method of claim 37 wherein the antibody is a polyclonal antibody.

39 . The method of claim 37 wherein the antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

40 . A method for inhibiting tumor cell interaction with basement membrane, comprising administering to an individual in need thereof an antibody to a laminin 5 gamma 2 chain to inhibit tumor cell interaction with basement membrane in the individual.

41 . The method of claim 40 wherein the antibody is a polyclonal antibody.

42 . The method of claim 40 wherein the antibody is a monoclonal antibody.
