Abstract
A monitoring device for security in automatic teller machine, wherein a security monitoring unit and a security data recording unit are robust in structure so that they are not easily destructed. Even if the automatic teller machine itself is stolen and a commercial power source is shut down, the security monitoring unit and the security data recording unit can be operated with a backup power supply unit to wirelessly transmit security information, thereby making it possible to keep track of where the automatic teller machine is located.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 14 . cancel.
15 . An automatic teller machine comprising:
a cash receipt/payment mechanism for receiving and paying cash; a machine power supply unit for converting a commercial AC voltage applied from a power supply inlet through a power cable to a DC voltage, and supplying the DC voltage to said cash receipt/payment mechanism; a backup power supply unit for supplying a voltage when the voltage supplied from said machine power supply unit is shut down; and a security monitoring controller for wirelessly transmitting information for tracking said machine with the voltage supplied from said backup power supply unit.
16 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 15 , further comprising:
a security sensing unit for sensing vibrations or heat, wherein said security monitoring controller confirms whether or not said machine is connected to a security company by determining whether or not there is a response to a transmission when said security monitoring controller receives an output from said security sensing unit.
17 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 16 , wherein:
said security monitoring controller transmits the information for tracking said machine through a wire when there is the response, and wirelessly transmits the information for tracking said machine when there is not the response.
18 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 16 , wherein:
said security monitoring controller repeats the confirmation until monitoring stop information is received.
19 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 15 , further comprising:
a camera for capturing an image of a front side or a back side of said automatic teller machine; and a microphone for capturing sound, wherein said security monitoring controller transmits an image captured by said camera and sound captured by said microphone as the information for tracking said machine.
20 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 15 , wherein:
said backup power supply unit is included in an integral structure.
21 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 15 , further comprising:
a security monitoring release switch for releasing the transmission by said security monitoring controller.
22 . An automatic teller machine comprising:
a customer transaction operation unit adapted for a customer to perform operations associated with a transaction; a card reading mechanism for controlling card reading; a detail form/journal printing mechanism for controlling printing of a detail form and a journal; a passbook printing mechanism for controlling printing of a passbook; a bill receipt/payment mechanism for controlling receipt and payment of a bill; and a security monitoring controller for wirelessly transmitting information for tracking in the event of a robbery.
23 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 22 , further comprising:
a security sensing unit for sensing vibrations or heat, wherein said security monitoring controller confirms whether or not said machine is connected to a security company by determining whether or not there is a response to a transmission when said security monitoring controller receives an output from said security sensing unit.
24 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 23 , wherein:
said security monitoring controller repeats the confirmation until monitoring stop information is received.
25 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 22 , wherein:
said security monitoring controller transmits the information for tracking said machine through a wire when there is the response, and wirelessly transmits the information for tracking said machine when there is not the response.
26 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 22 , further comprising:
a machine power supply unit for converting a commercial AC voltage applied from a power supply inlet through a power cable to a DC voltage, and supplying the DC voltage to said cash receipt/payment mechanism; and a backup power supply unit for supplying a voltage when the voltage supplied from said machine power supply unit is shut down.
27 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 26 , wherein:
said backup power supply unit is included in an integral structure.
28 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 22 , further comprising:
a camera for capturing an image of a front side or a back side of said automatic teller machine; and a microphone for capturing sound, wherein said security monitoring controller transmits an image captured by said camera and sound captured by said microphone as the information for tracking said machine.
29 . An automatic teller machine according to claim 22 , further comprising:
a security monitoring release switch for releasing the transmission by said security monitoring controller.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
