Sprouting umbrella

Abstract

The Sprouting Umbrella sets itself apart from any other umbrella by the way it is designed to open and close. With it rib structure contained inside the shaft, the Sprouting Umbrella is able to open conversely instead of convexly, like most normally designed umbrella's. Due to this design of the rib structure, the umbrella has the ability to be opened using less space in the middle of the umbrella. It also allows the user to place the umbrella in a tighter spot than a normal umbrella, which in turn will keep the user more dry while entering and exiting their vehicle in the rain.

1 . A sprouting umbrella made of: 
 a channeled shaft with a handle connected at the bottom;    a multitude of flexible spokes, individually located in each channel of the shaft;    two immovable rings attached to the channeled shaft, the top ring containing holes which align with the channels, so as to let each individual spoke move freely through its aligned hole;    one moveable ring, attached to the bottom of all the spokes, through the channels, able to slide the spokes simultaneously through their aligned holes freely;    a canopy with multiple sleeves woven in, equal in quantity to the number of spokes, and aligned with the holes in the top immoveable ring.    a multitude of governing strips, equal in quantity to the number of spokes, and aligned with sleeves of the canopy.    
   
   
       2 . An umbrella according to  claim 1 , wherein said moveable ring is able to lock in place with the bottom immoveable ring and top immoveable ring separately.  
   
   
       3 . An umbrella according to  claim 1 , wherein each sleeve is woven to the top immoveable ring, aligned with its multitude of holes, so as to allow the spokes to extend through the sleeves when opening the umbrella, and woven to outer edge of the canopy to fully extend the canopy when opening.  
   
   
       4 . An umbrella according to  claim 1 , wherein each governing strip is woven to the closed (outer) end of each sleeve, and the top immoveable ring, aligned with its holes; 
 each governing strip also being shorter in length than each individual sleeve, or less in measure than the radius of the entire canopy, so as to force the sleeves, spokes, and canopy to arch up while in the opened position.
