Endoscope hood
Abstract
An endoscope hood according to the present invention comprises: a hood portion provided to an insertion portion of an endoscope for being inserted into the body cavity, which includes a tube channel having a suctioning function, so as to extend in the forward viewing direction ahead of the distal end surface of an observation optical member for observing the tissue within the body cavity; a ridge formed on at least a part of the hood portion, which has a slope formed such that the cross-sectional thickness thereof becomes smaller toward the forward viewing direction. At least a part of the opening of the tube channel having the suctioning function is formed on the slope. The opening at the forward viewing direction is formed so as to be positioned closer to the observation window than the distal end of the hood portion formed near the tube channel.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An endoscope hood comprising:
a hood portion provided to an insertion portion of an endoscope for being inserted into the body cavity, which includes a tube channel having a suctioning function, so as to extend in the forward viewing direction ahead of the distal end surface of an observation optical member for observing the tissue within the body cavity; and a ridge formed on at least a part of the hood portion, which has a slope formed such that the cross-sectional thickness thereof becomes smaller toward the forward viewing direction; wherein at least a part of the opening of the tube channel having the suctioning function is formed on the slope; and wherein the opening at the forward viewing direction is formed so as to be positioned closer to the observation window than the distal end of the hood portion formed near the tube channel.
2 . An endoscope hood according to claim 1 , wherein the slope is formed of a curved surface.
3 . An endoscope hood according to claim 1 , wherein the slope is formed of an inclined surface.
4 . An endoscope hood according to claim 1 , wherein the endoscope hood includes at least a part of a tubular portion;
and wherein the tubular portion is formed with the generally the same diameter as with the distal end portion of the insertion portion.

An endoscope hood according to claim 1 , further including a mounting portion for being detachably mounted on the distal end portion of the insertion portion, wherein the ridge includes a communicating portion which allows the opening formed on the slope to communicate with the opening of the tube channel formed on the distal end of the insertion portion of the endoscope.

An endoscope hood according to claim 4 , further including a mounting portion for being detachably mounted on the distal end portion of the insertion portion, wherein the ridge includes a communicating portion which allows the opening formed on the slope to communicate with the opening of the tube channel formed on the distal end of the insertion portion of the endoscope.
7 . An endoscope hood according to claim 1 , wherein the hood portion is integrally formed on the insertion portion of the endoscope.
8 . An endoscope hood according to claim 4 , wherein the hood portion is integrally formed on the insertion portion of the endoscope.
9 . An endoscope hood comprising:
a hood portion provided to an insertion portion of an endoscope for being inserted into the body cavity, which extends ahead of the distal end surface of an observing optical member for observing the tissue within the body cavity in the forward viewing direction with the cross-sectional thickness thereof becoming smaller toward the forward viewing direction; and an opening of the tube channel having a suctioning function, wherein at least a part thereof is formed on the hood portion with the cross-sectional thickness thereof becoming smaller toward the forward viewing direction.
10 . An endoscope hood comprising:
a hood portion provided to an insertion portion of an endoscope for being inserted into the body cavity, which extends ahead of the distal end surface of an observing optical member for observing the tissue within the body cavity in the forward viewing direction; and an opening of the tube channel having a suctioning function wherein at least a part thereof is formed on the hood portion; wherein the distal end of the opening of the tube channel on the most-forward side is positioned behind the distal end of the hood portion in the forward viewing direction.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
