Abstract
The present invention relates to an electronic ignition circuit for oil burners, in particular a high voltage high frequency ignition circuit, said circuit comprising an oscillator and a high frequency high voltage transformer wound on a core. The core on which the high frequency transformer is wound forms a substantially closed magnetic path for the magnetic flux generated by the windings of the transformer, when current flows through the windings.

An electronic ignition circuit for oil burners, in particular a high voltage high frequency ignition circuit, said circuit comprising an oscillator and a high frequency transformer wound on a core; and wherein the core comprises two parts between which a gap is provided so as to form a substantially closed magnetic path for the magnetic flux generated by the windings of the transformer, when current flows through the windings.
16 . An electronic ignition circuit according to claim 15 , wherein the core comprises at least one essentially E shaped core and a yoke.
17 . An electronic ignition circuit according to claim 16 , wherein the yoke comprises a second essentially E shaped core.
18 . An electronic ignition circuit according to claim 16 , wherein the gap is formed between a central leg defined by the E shaped core and the yoke.
19 . An electronic ignition circuit according to claim 15 , wherein the core is a ferrite core.
20 . An electronic ignition circuit according to claim 15 , wherein the oscillator comprises a MOS-FET transistor.
21 . An electronic ignition circuit according to claim 15 , wherein the core weighs less than 14 g.

An oil burner comprising an electronic ignition circuit, the electronic ignition circuit including an oscillator and a high frequency transformer wound on a core, the core forming a substantially closed magnetic path for the magnetic flux generated by the windings of the transformer when current flows through the windings.

The use, in an electronic ignition circuit for oil burners, of a high frequency transformer comprising a core comprising two parts between which a gap is provided so as to form a substantially closed magnetic path for the magnetic flux, generated by the windings of the transformer, when current flows through the windings.
24 . A high frequency ignition transformer for oil burners, comprising a core comprising two parts between which a gap is provided so as to form a substantially closed magnetic path for the magnetic flux, generated by the windings of the transformer, when current flows through the windings.
25 . A high frequency ignition transformer according to claim 23 , wherein the core is a ferrite core.
