Abstract

An apparatus for manufacturing non-washing rice is disclosed. A rice washing intensity adjustment means includes a rice washing pressure adjustment means for controlling the pressure to polished rice in a pressure rice washing means. A washing water flow adjustment means is provided in the rice washing means.

1 . Apparatus for manufacturing non-washing rice comprising: 
 a rice washing intensity adjustment means including a rice washing pressure adjustment means for controlling the pressure to polished rice in a pressure rice washing means; and    a washing water flow adjustment means in said rice washing means.    
     
     
         2 . A method for manufacturing non-washing rice comprising the steps of: 
 washing polished rice in a rotationally drivable agitation tube having therein an agitation roll provided with a projecting rib on the peripheral surface;    rinsing the polished rice passed through the rice washing process to dehydrate attached moisture, and    drying the polished rice to set the moisture content to a predetermined value;    wherein said step of washing polished rice comprises:    a feed step for transporting the polished rice from the inlet of the agitation tube to the inside,    a polishing step for washing the polished rice, and    a rough rinsing step for washing the polished rice from the polishing step and, at the same time, said polished rice washing step being so composed to wash the rice by adjusting (i) the rice washing pressure, (ii) the rotation speed of the agitation roll and (iii) the washing water supply amount, according to conditions presented by the polished rice.    
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , further comprising: 
 providing a control means for adjusting the rice washing pressure, the rotation speed of the agitation roll and the washing water supply amount, wherein:    the rice washing pressure, the rotation speed of the agitation roll and the washing water supply amount are adjusted based on data concerning the polished rice input to said control means.    
     
     
         4 . A non-washing rice made by the process comprising: 
 washing polished rice in an agitation tube having therein a rotationally drivable agitation roll provided with a projecting rib on a peripheral surface;    rinsing the polished rice passed through the rice washing process to dehydrate attached moisture; and    drying the polished rice to set the moisture content to a predetermined value,    wherein said step of washing polished rice comprises:    a feed step for transporting the polished rice from the inlet of the agitation tube to the inside,    a polishing step for washing the polished rice, and    a rough rinsing step washing the polished rice from the polishing step in water and, at the same time, said polished rice washing step being so composed to wash the rice by adjusting (i) the rice washing pressure, (ii) the rotation speed of the agitation roll and (iii) the washing water supply amount, according to conditions presented by the polished rice.    
     
     
         5 . The non-washing rice made by the process of  claim 4 , said process further comprising: 
 providing a control means for adjusting the rice washing pressure, the rotation speed of the agitation roll and the washing water supply amount, wherein:    the rice washing pressure, the rotation speed of the agitation roll and the washing water supply amount are adjusted based on data concerning the polished rice input to said control means.
