Abstract

A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate comprised of multiple wheels with each wheel pivoted to a dedicated bracket and then connected to a casing fixed at a sole of the boot by means of the bracket; the bracket being coupled to the casing by means of a slide track; and a retainer being used to secure both of the bracket and casing in their respectively locations; whereby, the bracket being fully pulled out from the casing by releasing the retainer from the bracket for the bracket to face with its base plate or for the wheels to face towards the sole of the boot before pushing the bracket into the casing to be held in position by the retainer so to secure the bracket in the casing to either conceal or expose the wheels depending on the status of use.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate, provided to each of multiple wheel sets provided under a sole of each boot is essentially comprised of:
a casing, fixed in an accommodation chamber provided in the sole of the boot for the wheel set being related to the primary mechanical structure for the boot, coupled to the retractable mechanism, and an opening to permit retraction by the wheel set being provided to the casing at where in relation to the sole of the boot; a bracket related to a structure to be inserted into the casing being provided with a base plate to be inserted into the opening of the casing, both sides of the base plate being each provided with a side panel for the insertion of an axle of the wheel set, a pivot being each provided externally to both side panels and a positioning part being each provided on both sides of the pivot; two slide tracks penetrating through an inner wall where the interior of the casing meets the pivots of the bracket respectively having their bottoms provided each with a limiting groove, each limiting groove being pivoted to the pivot of the bracket to constitute a coupling between the bracket and the casing while allowing the bracket to fully extend out of the casing on the slide track, and a stop being provided each on the top of both slide tracks to prevent the slide tracks from sliding out of the casing; a retainer being provided on the wall of the casing in relation to the positioning part of the bracket to restrict mutually with the positioning part of the bracket for fixing the relative locations between the bracket and the casing; and a push button coupled to the retainer to release the bracket from the retainer once the push button being pressed; characterized by that: the wheel retractable mechanism allows the bracket to be easily pulled out of the casing by simply pressing the push button for an active shift between having the bracket to face in the direction of the sole of the boot with the base plate or the wheel set before the bracket being pushed into the casing for the retainer and the positioning part of the bracket to be mutually restricted thus to fix both of the bracket and the casing in position, and the wheel set being either concealed or exposed depending on the use status.

2 . A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, a coil is provided at where between the slide tracks and the casing to eject the bracket out of the casing once the bracket is released from the restriction by the retainer once the push button is pressed.

3 . A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, the press button is coupled to the retainer by means of a linkage.

4 . A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, the press button being coupled to the retainer by means of a linkage is provided with a coil to push the retainer towards the positioning part of the bracket.

5 . A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, the positioning part relates to a positioning hole and the retainer relates to a pin.

6 . A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, multiple positioning parts are respectively provided on both sides of a pivot of the bracket to regulate the location of the bracket in the casing.

7 . A wheel retractable mechanism for roller skate as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, both side panels of the bracket are made in a pattern to match that of the sole of the boot.
