Tool case
Abstract
A tool case has a body, at least one baffle and a positioning device. The body has a recess with a bottom and multiple cavities defined in the bottom of the recess to hold tools. The at least one baffle is pivotally attached to the body with a pivot pin, is selectively received in the recess and covers the cavities in the body. The positioning device is mounted in the inner surface of the cavity to hold the at least one baffle closed relative to the body. Accordingly, the tools can be held in the cavities by the at least one baffle, and forming a positioning device in each cavity is unnecessary. Consequently, removing the tools from the cavities is easy and convenient.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A tool case comprising:
a body with a top and having
a recess defined in the top and having an inner surface and a bottom;
multiple cavities defined in the bottom of the recess to hold tools; and
a handle formed on the body;
at least one first baffle pivotally attached to the body with a pivot pin, selectively received in the recess and covers the cavities in the body to hold the tools in the cavities, and each of the at least one first baffle having:
a board with a thickness pivotally attached to the body;
a resilient connector formed on the board along the pivot pin and having a thickness smaller than that of the board; and
a hole defined through the board; and
a positioning device mounted in the inner surface of the cavity to hold the at least one first baffle closed relative to the body.
2 . The tool case as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a cover pivotally attached to the body at an edge away from the handle.
3 . The tool case as claimed in claim 2 , wherein
the cover has:
a top;
a recess defined in the top of the cover and having a bottom; and
multiple cavities defined in the bottom of the recess of the cover to hold tools; and
the tool case further comprises:
at least one second baffle pivotally attached to the cover with a pivot pin, selectively received in the recess in the cover and covers the cavities in the cover to hold the tools in the cavities, and each of the at least one second baffle having:
a board with a thickness;
a resilient connector formed on the board along the pivot pin and having a thickness smaller than that of the board; and
a hole defined through the board; and
a positioning device mounted in the inner surface of the cavity to hold the at least one second baffle closed relative to the cover.
4 . The tool case as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body has two body baffles pivotally attached to the body which correspond respectively to two groups of cavities in the body.
5 . The tool case as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the body baffles are made of transparent material.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
