Abstract

An apparatus for collection and disposal of waste, comprising a container with a lid fastened by hermetic closure elements, with a piston inside that can slide and forms a hermetic chamber; and waste compaction and fluid discharge elements, that comprise first air and liquid suction elements connected to a space between a detachable collecting flexible container arranged inside the hermetic chamber, and the walls of the hermetic chamber, and second air and liquid suction elements connected to the inside of the flexible container.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. An apparatus for collection and disposal of waste, comprising a container with a lid fastened by hermetic closure means, a piston that is slidingly movable in said container and arranged so as to form a hermetic chamber that is provided with internal walls, a detachable flexible container having a bottom and being adapted for collecting the waste in an inside space thereof and which is arranged inside said hermetic chamber, and waste compaction and fluid discharge means, wherein said waste compaction and discharge means comprise: first suction means for air and liquid suction, which are functionally connected to a space comprised between said flexible container and the internal walls of said hermetic chamber; and second suction means for air and liquid suction, which are functionally connected to the inside space of said flexible container.

. The apparatus of claim 1 , comprising return means that are adapted to return said piston to a vicinity of the base of said container.

. The apparatus of claim 2 , comprising pushing means for pushing the waste toward the bottom of said flexible container.

. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein said first suction means is constituted by a first vacuum pump.

. The apparatus of claim 4 , comprising a first tube, which passes through said bottom of the container, said first vacuum pump being connected to said space between the flexible container and the internal walls of said chamber by way of said first tube, a first intake being further provided on said piston, and said first tube being connected to said first intake.

. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said second suction means is constituted by a second vacuum pump.

. The apparatus of claim 6 , comprising a second intake and a second tube, which passes through said lid through said second intake, said second vacuum pump being connected to the inside of said flexible container by way of said second tube and being adapted to draw at the bottom of said flexible container.

. The apparatus of claim 2 , comprising a cross-member arranged at said base, said return means being constituted by a traction spring, which is arranged between said cross-member and said piston.

. The apparatus of claim 6 , further comprising a third tube, which is connected to a blower port that is arranged on said lid, and an external intake channel, said pushing means for pushing the waste being constituted by said second vacuum pump, which is adapted to inject air into said flexible container by way of said third tube, said second vacuum pump drawing air through said external intake channel.

. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein said external intake channel is connected to said second tube by way of a three-way valve.

. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein said waste compacting and fluid discharging means comprise a first discharge duct and a second discharge duct, which are arranged, respectively, between said first vacuum pump and said second vacuum pump and a discharge.

. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein said discharge is constituted by a tube of a domestic sewage system located downstream of a siphon.

. The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein said first duct and said second duct are each provided with a check valve, which is adapted to prevent fluids from said discharge from entering said apparatus.

. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein said third tube is connected to said second discharge duct by way of a first three-way valve.

. The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein said lid has an opening for introducing waste, which is provided with a door with automatic closure means.

. The apparatus of claim 15 , wherein said automatic closure means are constituted by a pusher spring, which is arranged between said door and a fixing point proximate to a hinge of said door.

. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said piston is provided with peripheral sealing rings that are adjacent to the internal wall of said container.

. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said container is substantially cylindrical.

. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said hermetic closure means comprise at least two pawl-like hooks, which are pivoted to said container and are adapted to grip complementarily shaped engagement portions provided on said lid.

. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said hermetic closure means comprise a gasket, which is arranged between an upper rim of said container and said lid.

. The apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the upper rim of said flexible container is locked between said lid and said gasket.

. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said flexible container is a garbage bag.
