Article of clothing

Abstract

An article of clothing having at least one portion covering a limb (arm or leg) or the torso of a user. The article of clothing, such as a jacket or pants, provided with a lower edge and at least one annular impervious skirt provided with an upper end and a lower end, the lower end of the skirt being attached to the lower edge of the portion of the article of clothing, and the upper end of the skirt being provided with an arrangement to tighten about the user's limb/torso.

1 . An article of clothing comprising: 
 at least one portion adapted to cover a limb or torso of a user, said portion including a lower edge;    at least one annular skirt provided with an upper end and a lower end;    the lower end of the skirt being attached to the lower edge;    the upper end of the skirt being provided with an arrangement adapted to be tightened about the limb or the torso of the user.    
   
   
       2 . An article of clothing according to  claim 1 , wherein: 
 the upper end is provided with an elastic tightening arrangement.    
   
   
       3 . An article of clothing according to  claim 1 , wherein: 
 the upper end of the skirt is connected internally to the portion of the article of clothing, at a predetermined distance from the lower edge, by at least one elastic suspension arrangement.    
   
   
       4 . An article of clothing according to  claim 3 , wherein: 
 a force exerted by the elastic tightening arrangement is greater than the force exerted by the elastic suspension arrangement.    
   
   
       5 . An article of clothing according to  claim 1 , wherein: 
 the skirt is provided with an opening mechanism.    
   
   
       6 . An article of clothing according to  claim 1 , wherein: 
 the skirt is made of a watertight and/or water repellent material.    
   
   
       7 . An article of clothing according to  claim 1 , wherein: 
 the skirt is made of an elastic material.    
   
   
       8 . A jacket comprising: 
 a torso portion having a lower edge;    two sleeves connected to the torso portion, each of the two sleeves having a respective lower edge;    at least one annular skirt provided with an upper end and a lower end;    the lower end of the skirt being attached to the lower edge of the torso portion or one of the two sleeves;    the upper end of the skirt being provided with an arrangement adapted to be tightened about a limb or torso of the user.    
   
   
       9 . Pants comprising: 
 two leg portions;    each of the two leg portions having a respective lower edge;    two annular skirts, each of the annular skirts being provided with an upper end and a lower end;    the lower end of each of the skirts being attached to the lower edge of a respective one of the two leg portions;    the upper end of each of the skirts being provided with an arrangement adapted to be tightened about a leg of the user.
