Abstract
Compatibilizer compounds for melt-mixed blends of plasticized PVC and fluoropolymers, having acrylate functionality, wherein the resulting blends exhibits good mechanical and dielectric properties and are useful for wiring and cable applications.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An ECTFE-g-poly(MMA) compatibilizer compound prepared by mixing ECTFE, 0.5 phr peroxide, 8-20 phr MMA under high shear at approximately 200° C. for approximately 10 minutes.
2 . An ECTFE-g-poly(MMA) compatibilizer compound prepared by mixing ECTFE, 0.5 phr peroxide, 4 phr MMA and 4 parts styrene at high shear at approximately 200° C. for approximately 10 minutes.
3 . The compatibilizer compound of claim 23 or claim 24 purified by precipitation into cold acetone from a xylene solution at 130° C.
4 . A butyl methacrylate (BMA)-g-Halar 353 compatibilizer compound prepared by mixing ECTFE, 1 phr of peroxide, and 20 phr of BMA at high shear at 195° C. for approximately 10 minutes.
5 . An ethlylene acrylate compatibilizer compound for melt-mixing with plasticized PVC and ECTFE prepared by mixing ECTFE and ethlylene acrylate copolymer at high shear at 200° C.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
