Abstract
A method for making a spiral fuel body for a layered candle is disclosed. Layers of a non-liquid candle fuel are successively poured into a mold and cooled to a non-liquid state. The layers bond together in the mold, and are removed as a sheet of candle fuel, which is rolled into the spiral fuel body. Each layer is distinguishable from the other layer for the life of the candle by color, aroma, and thickness. A mold that can be used for making a rolled candle has obtuse sides for producing a tapered form to the candle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for making a spiral fuel body for a layered candle, the candle having a wick inserted in the fuel body, the method comprising:
(a) pouring sequentially in time a plurality of layers of a liquefied candle fuel into a mold and cooling each of the layers to a non-liquid state, before pouring the fuel for a subsequent layer onto a preceding non-liquid layer, to bond the layers into a unitary sheet of candle fuel; (b) removing the sheet of candle fuel from the mold; and (c) rolling the sheet into the spiral fuel body.
2 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein two layers are poured into the mold.
3 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein more than two layers are poured into the mold.
4 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the liquefied candle fuel is poured in unequal amounts to vary a thickness of each of the layers.
5 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the layers have a different coloring agent.
6 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the layers have a different scenting agent.
7 . The method in accordance with claim 1 , wherein multiple wicks are inserted by placing the wicks on the sheet and rolling the sheet from an end to provide a candle with multiple wicks.
8 . The method in accordance with one of claims 1 - 6 , in which the wick is inserted by placing the wick on the sheet near an end and rolling the sheet from said end.
9 . The method in accordance with claim 8 , wherein the sheet is hand-rolled.
10 . The method in accordance with one of claims 1 - 6 , in which the wick is inserted by forming at least one hole in the spiral fuel body and placing the wick in the hole.
11 . The method in accordance with claim 10 , wherein the hole is formed substantially perpendicular to the layers.
12 . The method in accordance with claim 10 , wherein the hole is formed substantially parallel to the layers.
13 . The method in accordance with claim 5 , wherein the liquefied candle fuel is poured in unequal amounts to vary a thickness of each of the layers.
14 . The method in accordance with claim 13 , wherein the layers have a different scenting agent.
