Abstract
A Tile Cap for use in tile applications including replacing or repairing existing and methods of using same are provided herewith.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A Tile Cap comprising:
a. a formed or molded article which fits over a substrate selected from the group consisting of an existing tile surface and an existing flat surface; and b. an adhesive selected to adhere to the substrate to which the Tile Cap will be attached.
2 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein the formed or molded article is selected from the group consisting of a plastic article and a resin article.
3 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein the substrate is an existing tile surface.
4 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein the substrate is an existing flat surface.
5 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein the existing tile surface is selected from the group consisting of ceramic, wood, plastic, vinyl, and stone.
6 . The Tile Cap of claim 5 wherein the existing tile is ceramic.
7 . The Tile Cap of claim 5 wherein the existing tile is wood.
8 . The Tile Cap of claim 5 wherein the existing tile is plastic.
9 . The Tile Cap of claim 5 wherein the existing tile is vinyl.
10 . The Tile Cap of claim 5 wherein the existing tile is stone.
11 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein the adhesive is selected from the group consisting of foam double-sided foam tape, construction adhesives, hot-melt adhesives, heat release adhesives, and epoxy compounds.
12 . The Tile Cap of claim 11 wherein said adhesive is a foam double-sided foam tape.
13 . The Tile Cap of claim 11 wherein said adhesive is a construction adhesive.
14 . The Tile Cap of claim 11 wherein said adhesive is a hot-melt adhesive.
15 . The Tile Cap of claim 11 wherein said adhesive is an epoxy compound.
16 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein said Tile Cap is a decorative Tile Cap.
17 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein said Tile Cap is a germicidal Tile Cap.
18 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein said Tile Cap is a bacteriostatic Tile Cap.
19 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein said Tile Cap is applied to a surface without grout.
20 . The Tile Cap of claim 1 wherein said Tile Cap has a trimable knife edge.
21 . A method of using a Tile Cap wherein said Tile Cap is positioned over an existing ceramic tile.
22 . The method of claim 21 wherein said Tile Cap is selected from the group consisting of a plastic or resin article.
23 . The method of claim 21 wherein said Tile Cap is affixed to the existing ceramic tile with a foam double sided foam tape.
24 . A method of using a Tile Cap wherein said Tile Cap is positioned over an existing flat surface.
25 . The method of claim 24 wherein said Tile Cap is selected from the group consisting of a plastic or a resin article.
26 . The method of claim 24 wherein said Tile Cap is affixed to the existing flat surface with a foam double-sided foam tape.
27 . A method of using a Tile Cap wherein said Tile Cap is a germicidal Tile Cap and provides a resulting germicidal surface.
28 . The method of claim 27 wherein said Tile Cap is affixed to an existing ceramic tile with a foam double-sided foam tape.
29 . The method of claim 27 wherein said Tile Cap is affixed to an existing flat surface with a foam double-sided foam tape.
30 . A method of using a Tile Cap wherein said Tile Cap is a bacteriostatic Tile Cap and provides a resulting bacteriostatic surface.
