Abstract
Use of hydroxyoleic acid and its analogous compounds in the manufacture of drugs. Describes the use of hydroxyoleic acid and its analogs of general formula I: COOH—CHR—(CH 2 ) m —CH═CH—(CH 2 ) n —CH 3 , in which m and n have, independently, a value of 0-15 and R can be any residue with molecular weight below 200 Da, in the manufacture of drugs that can be used in the treatment of cancer, hypertension, obesity or diseases mediated by alteration of the membrane structure and the consequent regulation of G-proteins or of the receptors coupled to them.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . The use of compounds of general formula I: COOH—CHR—(CH 2 ) m —CH═CH—(CH 2 ) n —CH 3 , where R is OH or NH 2 , m and n have independently, a value between 0 and 15, in the manufacture of drugs and pharmaceutically acceptable forms that can be used in the treatment of cancer.
2 . Use according to claim 1 , characterized in that the compounds of general formula preferably have between 12 and 29 carbon atoms.
3 . Use according to claim 1 , characterized in that the compounds of general formula I are preferably 2-hydroxyoleic acid, and 2-amino-oleic acid.
4 . Use of compounds of general formula I: COOH—CHR—(CH 2 ) m —CH═CH—(CH 2 ) n —CH 3 , where R can be any group with molecular weight below 200 Da, m and n have, independently, a value between 0 and 15, in the manufacture of drugs and pharmaceutically acceptable forms that can be used in the treatment of hypertension, with the exception of the use of palmitoleic acid when it is used in the manufacture of drugs that can be used in the treatment of cerebral apoplexy.
5 . Use according to claim 4 , characterized in that R is preferably H, OH, NH 2 Or CH 3 .
6 . Use according to claim 4 , characterized in that the compounds of general formula I preferably have between 12 and 28 carbon atoms.
7 . Use according to claim 4 , characterized in that the compounds of general formula I are preferably 2-hydroxyoleic acid, 2-methyl-oleic acid, vaccenic acid, nervonic acid, oleic acid, palmitolecic acid or aminoleic acid.
8 . Use of derivatives of compounds of general formula I: COOH—CHR—(CH 2 ) m —CH═CH—(CH 2 )R—CH 3 , where R can be any group with molecular weight below 200 Da, m and n have, independently, a value between 0 and 15, in the manufacture of drugs and pharmaceutically acceptable forms that can be used in the treatment of obesity.
9 . Use according to claim 8 , characterized in that R is preferably H, OH, NH 2 or CH 3 .
10 . Use according to claim 8 , characterized in that the compounds of general formula I preferably have between 12 and 28 carbon atoms.
11 . Use according to claim 8 , characterized in that the compound of general formula I is preferably 2-hydroxyoleic acid or aminoleic acid.
12 . Use of compounds of general formula I: COOH—CHR—(CH 2 ) m —CH═CH—(CH 2 ) n —CH 3 , where R is OH or NH 2 in the manufacture of drugs and pharmaceutically acceptable forms that can be used in diseases whose etiology is based on the lamellar-hexagonal transition of the structure of the cell membrane that involves the regulation or localization of G-proteins and of the receptors coupled to them.
13 . Use according to claim 12 , characterized in that the compounds of general formula I preferably have between 12 and 28 carbon atoms.
14 . Use according to claim 12 , characterized in that the compound of general formula I is preferably 2-hydroxyoleic acid.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
