Abstract
It is disclosed the use of diacerein or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof for the manufacture of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of psoriasis or diseases associated therewith, such as psoriatic arthritis.

13 . A method for treating psoriatic arthritis comprising administering to a human being suffering from psoriatic arthritis a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically amount of diacerein or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition is administered topically in a form of a cream or ointment on portions of the human affected by psoriatic arthritis.
15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition comprises a therapeutically effective amount of diacerein.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition is administered topically in a form of a cream or ointment on a portion of the human affected by psoriatic arthritis.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition is in a form adapted for oral administration.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition is administered at a daily oral administration dosage of 30-200 mg of diacerein.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition is administered at a dosage of 100 mg daily of diacerein, in at least two administrations.
20 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the composition comprises a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of diacerein.
21 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the composition comprises a therapeutically effective amount of an ester of diacerein.
22 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the composition comprises a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of diacerein.
23 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the composition comprises a therapeutically effective amount of an ester of diacerein.
