. A connector for a vacuum cleaner for detachable connection of a suction hose to a suction opening provided in a housing of the vacuum cleaner, the vacuum cleaner including a dust container, comprising:
the housing having a first outer wall having an opening aligned with the suction opening; said suction opening formed in a second inner wall forming the housing of the vacuum cleaner; and a connector body including a tubular end piece insertable into the suction opening through both said first outer wall and said second inner wall.

. The connector according to claim 9 , including said tubular end piece includes a connecting cone which sealingly is inserted into the dust container.

. The connector according to claim 10 , including said connector body is fixable in a region between said first and second walls.

. The connector according to claim 11 , including said connector body is fixable by way of a sealing lip formed on said connecting cone which sealing lip abuts the outside of said second wall.

. The connector according to claim 11 , including said connector body includes at least one catch lug formed thereon and said connector body is fixable on the inside of said first wall by said catch lug.

. The connector according to claim 13 , including said connector body includes at least one gripping element accessible from outside of said first wall, which gripping element can be pressed inwardly to release said catch lug to withdraw said connector body from said suction opening and said housing.

. The connector according to claim 14 , including said gripping element includes a catch hook on which said catch lug is formed.

. The connector according to claim 15 , including said catch hook includes a gripping recess formed therein.
