Bubbling bath mat

Abstract

There is provided a foldable bubbling bath mat having two or more interconnected segments and a number of air channels with two or more apertures located in a bottom surface of the air channels. The bubbling bath mat is adapted to produce varying sized air bubbles and, thus, improve the overall therapeutic massaging effect on a user.

1 . A bubbling bath mat comprising: 
 a plurality of rigid segments flexibly connected together, each of said plurality of rigid segments having a surface with a plurality of segment apertures, some of said plurality of segment apertures having different sizes; and    a plurality of air channels for connecting together said plurality of rigid segments, for permitting air flow into said plurality of rigid segments and for permitting folding of adjacent pairs of said plurality of rigid segments upon each other.    
     
     
         2 . The mat of  claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of pads adapted to be secured to some of said plurality of rigid segments, said plurality of pads having a plurality of pad apertures that align with at least some of said plurality of segment apertures.  
     
     
         3 . The mat of  claim 1 , further comprising an air controller having an inlet orifice for receiving compressed air.  
     
     
         4 . The mat of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of air channels having a bottom surface, and wherein a plurality of small channel apertures are located on said bottom surface.  
     
     
         5 . The mat of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of rigid segments each have a head segment and a plurality of body segments.  
     
     
         6 . The mat of  claim 5 , wherein said plurality of body segments are connected at a plurality of joints.  
     
     
         7 . The mat of  claim 6 , further comprising a pair of link hinges laterally spaced and diametrically opposed and secured along an edge of each body segment.  
     
     
         8 . The mat of  claim 7 , wherein said pair of link hinges allow one of said plurality of segments to be folded over a second, adjacent segment of said plurality of segments.  
     
     
         9 . The mat of  claim 6 , wherein said plurality of air channels are adapted to flexibly traverse said plurality of joints.  
     
     
         10 . The mat of  claim 6 , wherein said plurality of air channels have sections of flexible hose traversing each of said plurality of joints to connect an adjacent pair of said plurality of body segments for folding the mat.  
     
     
         11 . The mat of  claim 2 , wherein said plurality of pads are made of soft flexible material relative to said plurality of rigid segments.  
     
     
         12 . The mat of  claim 3 , wherein said air controller is adapted to rotate to direct airflow.  
     
     
         13 . The mat of  claim 1 , further comprising a first air chamber having a first wall opening to allow air to flow from said inlet orifice to said first air chamber, said first air chamber having at least two outlet orifices, said at least two outlet orifices of said first air chamber allowing air to flow from said first air chamber into at least two of said plurality of air channels.  
     
     
         14 . The mat of  claim 13 , further comprising a second air chamber having a second wall opening to allow air to flow from said inlet orifice to said second air chamber, said second air chamber having at least two outlet orifices, said at least two outlet orifices of said second air chamber allowing air to flow from said second air chamber into at least two of said plurality of air channels.  
     
     
         15 . The mat of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of air channels have a removable cap at an end to allow a user to drain said plurality of air channels.  
     
     
         16 . The mat of  claim 1 , wherein the rigid segments are adapted to be folded into a compact size.  
     
     
         17 . The mat of  claim 2 , wherein said plurality of pad apertures are differently sized to correspond with said some of said plurality of segment apertures having different sizes.
