Abstract
An intravascular implant and methods of using the implant within the vasculature of the body, for example near a vascular aneurysm, are disclosed. The method of attaching a second implant, such as a vascular graft, to the intravascular implant is also disclosed. The implant can be made from an anchor, a connector and a seal.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
. An intravascular implant comprising:
a seal having a circumference and a seal central axis, wherein the seal is configured to attach to a second implant, a connector comprising a connector first end and a connector second end, wherein the connector second end is attached to the seal, and an anchor comprising an anchor central axis and an arm, wherein the arm is extending radially away from the central axis, and wherein the connector first end is attached to the anchor, and wherein the arm is angled toward the seal as the arm extends radially away from the anchor central axis.
. The implant of claim 1 , wherein the seal comprises a gasket.
. The implant of claim 1 , wherein the seal comprises an inflatable collar.
. The implant of claim 1 , wherein the anchor comprises an umbrella.
. The implant of claim 1 , wherein the anchor comprises a hook.
. The implant of claim 1 , wherein the anchor comprises a barb.
. The implant of claim 1 , wherein the connector comprises a open-walled structure.
. The implant of claim 7 , wherein the connector comprises a central member, wherein the central member extends from the seal central axis.
. The implant of claim 7 , wherein the connector comprises a central member, wherein the central member extends along the anchor central axis.
. The implant of claim 1 , wherein the connector comprises a coil.
. The implant of claim 1 , further comprising a second anchor.
. An intravascular implant comprising:
a seal configured to attach to a second implant, a connector comprising a connector first end and a connector second end, wherein the connector second end is attached to the seal, and wherein the connector comprises a flexible member, and an anchor, wherein the connector first end is attached to the anchor.
. The implant of claim 12 , wherein the connector comprises a coil.
. The implant of claim 12 , wherein the distance between the seal and the anchor can be adjusted.
. The implant of claim 12 , further comprising a second anchor.
. An intravascular implant comprising:
a seal comprising a seal central axis, a connector comprising a connector first end and a connector second end, wherein the connector second end is attached to the seal, an anchor comprising an anchor central axis and an arm, wherein the connector first end is attached to the anchor, and wherein the arm is angled toward the seal as the arm extends radially from the anchor central axis, and a stop, wherein the radial extension of the arm is limited by the stop.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the stop is a mechanical interference.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the seal comprises a gasket.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the seal comprises an inflatable collar.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the anchor comprises an umbrella.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the anchor comprises a hook.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the anchor comprises a barb.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the connector comprises a open-walled structure.
. The implant of claim 23 , wherein the connector comprises a central member, wherein the central member extends from the seal central axis.
. The implant of claim 23 , wherein the connector comprises a central member, wherein the central member extends from the anchor central axis.
. The implant of claim 16 , wherein the connector comprises a coil.
. The implant of claim 16 , further comprising a second anchor.
. An intravascular implant comprising:
a seal comprising a seal central axis, a connector comprising a connector first end and a connector second end, wherein the connector second end is attached to the seal, and wherein the connector is a flexible member, and an anchor comprising an anchor central axis and an arm, wherein the connector first end is attached to the anchor, and wherein the arm is angled toward the seal as the arm extends radially from the anchor central axis.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the connector is radially flexible.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the connector is axially flexible.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the seal comprises a gasket.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the seal comprises an inflatable collar.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the anchor comprises an umbrella.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the anchor comprises a hook.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the anchor comprises a barb.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the connector comprises a open-walled structure.
. The implant of claim 36 , wherein the connector comprises a central member, wherein the central member extends from the seal central axis.
. The implant of claim 36 , wherein the connector comprises a central member, wherein the central member extends from the anchor central axis.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein the connector comprises a coil.
. The implant of claim 28 , further comprising a second anchor.
. The implant of claim 28 , wherein a distance between the anchor and the seal can be adjusted.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
