Shuffle putter

Abstract

A shuffle putter and method therefor. A shuffle putter can include a shaft coupled to a club head. The shaft can extend substantially perpendicularly to the club head from above a central portion of the club head between a toe and a heel of the club head. The club head itself can include a non-specific striking surface disposed between the toe and the heel. For example, the club head can be a cylinder. Also, a runner can be affixed at each of the heel and the toe. Notably, a housel can be disposed between the shaft and the club head. For instance, the housel can be coupled to the club head at one of the heel, the toe, and substantially halfway between the heel and the toe. Moreover, the housel can form an acute angle with a horizontal plane defined by the club head at a point of coupling between the housel and the club head. Finally, the runners can be affixed to each end of the cylinder in a position offset from the vertex of the runners so as to facilitate the impartation of top spin or back spin to a golf ball.

A shuffle putter comprising a shaft coupled to a club head, said shaft extending substantially perpendicularly to said club head from above a central portion of said club head between a toe and a heel of said club head, said club head comprising a nonspecific striking surface disposed between said toe and said heel.  
     
     
         2 . The shuffle putter of  claim 1 , further comprising a housel disposed between said shaft and said club head.  
     
     
         3 . The shuffle putter of  claim 2 , wherein said housel is coupled to said club head at one of said heel, said toe, and substantially halfway between said heel and said toe.  
     
     
         4 . The shuffle putter of  claim 3 , wherein said housel forms an acute angle with a horizontal plane defined by said club head at a point of coupling between said housel and said club head.  
     
     
         5 . The shuffle putter of  claim 1 , wherein said club head comprises a cylinder.  
     
     
         6 . The shuffle putter of  claim 5 , further comprising a runner at each of said heel and said toe.  
     
     
         7 . The shuffle putter of  claim 5 , further comprising two runners, wherein each runner is coupled to an opposing end of said cylinder.  
     
     
         8 . A shuffle putter comprising a shaft coupled to a club head said shaft extending substantially perpendicularly to said club head from above a central portion of said club head between a toe and a heel of said club head, said club head comprising a nonspecific striking surface disposed between said toe and said heel, 
 wherein said club head comprises a cylinder    further comprising two runners wherein each runner is coupled to an opposing end of said cylinder, and    wherein each said runner is coupled to an opposing end of said cylinder at a position off-center from a vertex of said runner.    
     
     
         9 . The shuffle putter of  claim 8 , further comprising an adjustable bolt for securing said adjustable bolt permitting a selective rotation of axis of said cylinder.  
     
     
         10 . The shuffle putter of  claim 9 , further comprising a ratchet mechanism for ratcheting said runners in a selectably rotated position about said longitudinal axis of said cylinder.
