Standard tinned drinks protector

Abstract

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:The descriptive report herein refers to an Invention Patent application, related to a standard PVC or PET tinned drinks protector with its corresponding opening seal, the obvious aim of which is to form a protective element for the top of drinks tins, the area where users place their lips to drink from the container. As the invention (protective cap) hermetically seals the top of the drinks tin and is fitted during the packaging process, it guarantees that the area from which the user drinks is perfectly clean and hygienic. FIELD OF THE INVENTION: This invention has its application in the food industry and drinks packaging at source, owing to its efficiency and simplicity of application. ANTECEDENTS OF THE INVENTION: On the part of the applicant there is no knowledge of the existence at present of an invention designed to be a standard protector with seal for tinned drinks.

1 . Standard tinned drinks protector (FIG. I). Characterised by comprising a cap of PVC or PET thermoplastic material preformed by heat and vacuum before being punched to give it its characteristic circular shape ( 5 ) including the tab ( 2 ) of the closing seal ( 10 ).

Characterised by having a seal-breaking system ( 10 ) preformed at the top of the protective cap, made possible by punching the protective cap ( 1 ) with blades that carry out a micro incision ( 3 ) of approximately 70% of the thickness of the protective cap ( 1 ), such a system making it easier to break the thermoplastic material of the protective cap ( 1 )  
     
     
         3 . Standard tinned drinks protector (FIG. II). Characterised by having an easy to use (remove) tab ( 2 ), that acts on the closing seal by breaking it ( 10 ) in order to open the protective cap ( 1 ), exposing the top ( 8 ) of the drinks can ( 11 ).  
     
     
         4 . Standard tinned drinks protector (FIG. II). Characterised by having an ingenious system for joining or fitting the protective cap ( 1 ) to the drinks tin ( 11 ), consisting of the closing device ( 7 ) of the said tin and that by applying pressure or pushing down on the protective cap ( 1 ), the latter slots the negative circular incision ( 6 ) of the said protective cap ( 1 ), into the negative groove formed by the join ( 7 ) of the top ( 8 ) to the sloping side ( 9 ) of the drinks tin ( 11 ), thus producing a firm, hermetic closure, and adaptation of the standard tinned drinks protector ( 1 ) to the drinks tin ( 11 ).
