Abstract

A system and method using a connection plate to electrically couple a magnetic read/write head to a printed circuit assembly. The connection plate has a set of contact pads to control reads and a set of contact pads to control. The printed circuit assembly also allows control of the micro-actuator arms. The connection plate can be attached to a framing assembly of the micro-actuator by laser welding or by using an ultraviolet cured epoxy.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 37 . (Cancelled)

         38 . A method, comprising:
attaching a magnetic read/write head with a first arm and a second arm of a metal framing assembly; and electrically coupling the magnetic read/write head to a printed circuit assembly with a connection plate.

39 . The method of claim 38 , further comprising:
coupling a first strip of piezoelectric actuator material to the first arm; and coupling a second strip of piezoelectric actuator material to the second arm.

40 . The method of claim 39 , further comprising:
electrically coupling the first strip to the printed circuit assembly via a first set of one or more bonding pads; and electrically coupling the second strip to the printed circuit assembly via a second set of one or more bonding pads.

41 . The method of claim 39 , further comprising separately controlling the first strip of piezoelectric actuator material and the second strip of piezoelectric actuator material.
