Abstract
A CD storage box includes a main box frame, a front cover, a left cover, a right cover, two turning knobs, two knob gears, a top cover, a brake shaft, multiple swing levers, a rear cover, a grip handle, a left frame and a right frame. Once the turning knobs are rotated, the knob gears can actuate the driven gears to rotate with the brake shaft and abrupt pieces on the surface of the brake gear can stir the swing levers to push CDs out for being browsed chosen.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A CD storage box, comprising:
a main box frame, having an open front and rear sides with a plurality of shaft supports being disposed spacing apart from each other at a top wall and near the rear side thereof, providing a projection at a left lower side with a fitting groove next to the front side, providing a pin shaft attached with a speed reduce gear, a spring groove being disposed at a right lower side thereof, having a plurality of integrated and equally spaced curved guide groove partitions to form a plurality of guide grooves at an internal part thereof between the top wall and a bottom wall, having a locating recess at the rear side, extending outward a shaft at both upper lateral sides thereof next to two of the shaft supports, a locating groove being disposed beside the shaft, both the top wall and two lateral walls thereof having a plurality of fitting holes and the bottom at two sides thereof extends downward a stand projection; a front cover, at an inner side thereof having a row of arched guide grooves corresponding to the inlet grooves, the inner side at a central upper edge thereof having a lock hook, a bottom at two lateral sides thereof having an outward extending pin respectively and a torsion spring being disposed at one of two lateral sides thereof next to the pin, at a lower corner thereof having a sector shaped gear meshing with the speed reduce gear; a left and right covers, at a respective periphery thereof having a joining rim with engaging recesses for being joined to the main box frame tightly, a respective inner side thereof having a plurality of holding jaws equally spaced from each other and provide a respective piercing hole and a respective pin hole being located at a respective lower front corner thereof for fitting with the pins of the front cover; two turning knobs, being disposed at a respective outer side of the left and right covers corresponding to the respective piercing hole and being provided with an axial groove respectively; two knob gears, having a respective shaft extending axially from a lateral side thereof to join with the respective axial groove and being located at the respective shaft of the main box frame; a top cover, at a periphery thereof having a plurality of engaging legs being inserted into the fitting hole at the top wall of the main box frame and the engaging recesses of the left and right covers and at the upper middle side thereof having a backward recess with an elastic button, which has a holding hook, to catch the lock hook of the front cover during the front cover being closed so as to form a state of engaging with the front cover, at the central area thereof being a handle nest with two lateral sides of the handle nest having an axial hole respectively and at a rear side thereof having a plurality of touching legs; a brake shaft, being mounted to the shaft supports, at an outer surface thereof having a plurality of abrupt pieces 61 being arranged as a spiral shape corresponding to the inlet grooves and at two ends thereof providing an anti-slip rib with an annular recess so that the driven gear can be fixedly attached to the two ends respectively with a retaining ring being located at the annular recess; a rear cover, at a periphery thereof providing a plurality of outer lock pieces so as to be joined to the main box frame and the left and right covers tightly, at an inner upper part thereof having a plurality of support plates corresponding to the guide groove partitions and at a bottom thereof having a lower locating base with a plurality of fork shaped clearances corresponding to the support plates, at an inner side of the periphery having a plurality lock pieces for engaging with the main box frame. a plurality of swing levers, each of the swing levers at a top thereof having two opposite lateral circular projections so as to be inserted into a space between adjacent support plates and held by a respective circular opening on the support plates, at a central position thereof having an longitudinally disposed elongated groove; a grip handle, being received in the handle nest at the central area of the top cover, at two ends thereof having an engaging hook respectively so as to be joined to the axial holes at the lateral sides of the handle nest; and a left and right frames, at the upper sides thereof having a respective transverse groove corresponding to the stand projections of the main box frame and at bottoms thereof having a plurality of fixing holes, having an integrated elastic hook with a lock part so that the lock part can fit with the groove; whereby, when a user rotates the turning knobs, the knob gears can actuate the driven gears to rotate with the b 6 rake shaft and abrupt pieces can stir the swing levers to push a plurality of CDs out for being chosen.
2 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein each stand projection of the main box frame at an outer side thereof is provided with a groove for another one of the CD storage box being fixedly stacked to the storage box by way of a hook part on the left and right support frames elastically engaging with the respective groove.
3 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein the front cover at a lower lateral side thereof is integrally made with a sector gear to mesh with the speed reduce gear and at another lower lateral side thereof next to the pin is provided with a spring groove against a leg of the torsion spring.
4 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein the left cover is provided with a cylindrical post at a front lower side thereof corresponding to the projection to prevent the torsion spring from falling down.
5 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein the right cover at a lower front corner has a cylindrical rib part with a small protrusion against a side face of the speed reduce gear to prevent the speed reduce gear from loosening during turning.
6 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein the knob gear has a shaft extending axially from a lateral side thereof and a driving gear is fixedly attached to the shaft, a gear base is disposed at another lateral side opposite to the shaft with a plurality of catching hooks equally spacing apart from each other and each catching hook is next to a lateral side of a “V” shaped locating indentation respectively, the gear base has a central nest to accommodate the shaft, the locating indentation has a 90° open angle for contacting with a pressing jut of the locating spring plate, a bulge is next to the other lateral side of the locating indentation to correspond to a notch and once the bulge engages with the notch, it is not possible for the user to rotate the turning knob counterclockwise and it is possible for the knob gear to rotationally move back and forth in a free extent as long as the bulge keeps contact with the notch.
7 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein the gear base has a plurality of locating pairs equally spaced apart from each other and each locating pair has a V shaped locating part with an open angle of 45° and two locating protrusions with about a 45° V shaped dent part between the locating projections and the locating spring plate has a about 45° slant jut corresponding to the dent part such that the knob gear can rotate clockwise only.
8 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein the top cover at two lateral sides thereof has upper securing holes 54 for securing the right frame and the left frame.
9 . The CD storage box as defined in claim 1 , wherein the support plates of the rear cover have an elongated semi-circular opening respectively to form base holes with a plurality of touching legs 55 of the top cover for holding and locating the circular projections of the swing levers and the support plates 83 at bottoms thereof have outward feet 832 corresponding to the locating grooves at the rear side of the main box frame.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
