Use of standard gaming tools for an improved game of roulette

Abstract

The present invention relates to an enhanced casino game in which the principles of the standard Roulette game are applied to a standard deck of playing cards. The use of standard gaming tools for this improved game of roulette provides an enhanced experience for the player while bringing flexibility in the choice of the casino house income ratio for the casino management team.

What is claimed is:  
     
         55 . Use of a standard deck of playing cards and a betting layout for a casino game simulating roulette allowing for a bet to be placed in association with a variable number of symbols with inversely proportional payouts, wherein a payout-determining playing card is randomly selected from said standard deck of playing cards, said payout determining card being any one card from said deck, a player places at least one gaming bet, each said gaming bet choosing a number n of betting cards displayed on said layout, and, when said random selection matches one of said n betting cards, a payout is calculated using said payout determining card for said player for each gaming bet, said payout amounting to 48/n.  
     
     
         56 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said gaming bet is only recorded when 48/n is an integer, said payout being an integer amount.  
     
     
         57 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said number n of said betting cards represents all of said betting cards of a same face value.  
     
     
         58 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said number n of said betting cards represents all of said betting cards in a same suit.  
     
     
         59 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said number n of said betting cards represents all of said betting cards in one of: 
 a same face value; and    a same suit.    
     
     
         60 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said number n of said betting cards represents all of said betting cards in one of: 
 a same range of face values;    a same color; and    a same parity.    
     
     
         61 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said number n of said betting cards represents all betting cards in one of: 
 a same face value;    a same suit;    a same range of face values;    a same color; and    a same parity.    
     
     
         62 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said player makes a securing bet choosing a number s of said playing cards as bet securing cards, wherein said bet securing cards allow said player to modify a casino house income ratio.  
     
     
         63 . The use as claimed in  claim 62 , wherein when random selection matches one of said s bet securing cards chosen by said player, a payout of zero is calculated for said player and said gaming bet choosing a number n of playing cards made by said player is returned to said player.  
     
     
         64 . Use of a roulette gaming device having at least roulette numbers 1 to 36 and 0, two types of markers and a betting layout for a roulette casino game allowing for a bet to be placed on a variable number of symbols with inversely proportional payouts and for bets to be held, wherein a player places at least one standard bet using a first type of said markers, each said standard bet choosing a series n of betting numbers displayed on said layout of roulette numbers and a securing bet using a second type of said markers, said securing bet choosing a series s of said betting numbers as bet securing numbers, wherein said bet securing numbers allow said player to modify a casino house income ratio, a payout-determining number being randomly selected from said set of roulette numbers, wherein said payout determining number is any one of said roulette numbers, when said payout-determining number matches one of said n betting numbers chosen, a payout is calculated using said payout determining number, for said player, for each standard bet, said payout amounting to 36/n.  
     
     
         65 . The use as claimed in  claim 64 , wherein when said payout-determining number matches one of said s bet securing numbers chosen by said player, a payout amounting to zero is calculated for said player and said standard bet is returned to said player.  
     
     
         66 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein at least one card not chosen as a betting card is identified as at least one outside card.  
     
     
         67 . The use as claimed in  claim 66 , wherein at least one of said at least one outside card is an all bets lose card, wherein a payout of zero is calculated for said player when said all bets lose card is drawn.  
     
     
         68 . The use as claimed in  claim 66 , wherein at least one of said at least one outside card is a free turn card, wherein said gaming bet is returned to said player when said free turn card is drawn.  
     
     
         69 . The use as claimed in  claim 66 , wherein said gaming bet is only recorded. when 48/n is an integer, said payout being an integer amount.  
     
     
         70 . The use as claimed in  claim 69 , wherein said at least one outside card is one card from each of four of said suits and said number n=12 of said betting cards chooses all of said betting cards in a same suit.  
     
     
         71 . The use as claimed in  claim 69 , wherein said at least one outside card is four cards of odd parity so that said number n=24 of said betting cards identifies all of said betting cards of same parity.

The use as claimed in  claim 69 , wherein said at least one outside card is four cards of a same face value so that said number n=24 of said betting cards identifies all of said betting cards in a same range of face values of one of two ranges of face values lower or higher than face value 7.  
     
     
         73 . The use as claimed in  claim 69 , wherein said at least one outside card is four cards having a face value of 7 and two jokers from a deck of fifty-four playing cards.  
     
     
         74 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein said layout is a game surface having areas corresponding to said cards and arranged in a geometric pattern.  
     
     
         75 . The use as claimed in  claim 74 , wherein said number n of cards is identified by a geometrical characteristic of said game surface geometric pattern.  
     
     
         76 . The use as claimed in  claim 75 , wherein said player positions a betting marker on said betting area identifying said geometrical characteristic on said game surface geometric pattern.  
     
     
         77 . The use as claimed in  claim 76 , wherein said number n is selected such that 48/n is an integer.  
     
     
         78 . The use as claimed in  claim 76 , wherein two or more of said betting areas are identified by positioning said betting marker when said marker is positioned to sit on a border between two or more said betting areas.  
     
     
         79 . The use as claimed in  claim 55 , wherein at least one card of said outside cards is identified as an all outside bets lose card.
