Claims

Abstract

A golf club head includes a hollow head shell, a locating mount, and a tubular neck member. The head shell has a top, a sole, a heel, a toe, and a face. The top is provided with a first insertion hole. The locating mount is mounted at an inner side of the sole and includes a positioning concavity and a positioning hole. The neck member has a second insertion hole and is securely received inside the first insertion hole of the head shell and fastened to the positioning concavity of the locating mount at a bottom end thereof such that the first insertion hole communicates with the positioning hole. Accordingly, a shaft can be securely inserted into the second insertion hole and the positioning hole so as to be fastened with the head shell.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A golf club head comprising: 
 a hollow head shell including a top, a sole, a heel, a toe, and a face, said top having a first insertion hole;    a locating mount mounted at an inner side of said sole of said head shell; and    a tubular neck member having a second insertion hole and inserted into said first insertion hole of said head shell and fastened to said locating mount at a bottom end thereof.    
     
     
         2 . The golf club head as defined in  claim 1 , wherein said locating mount having a positioning concavity for receiving the bottom end of said neck member.  
     
     
         3 . The golf club head as defined in  claim 1 , wherein said locating mount having a positioning hole in communication with said second insertion hole of said neck member.  
     
     
         4 . The golf club head as defined in  claim 1 , wherein said first insertion hole of said head shell has a first planar surface at an inner periphery thereof, and said neck member has a second planar surface at an outer side thereof corresponding in location to the first planar surface of said first insertion hole.  
     
     
         5 . The golf club head as defined in  claim 1 , wherein said locating mount is integrally formed with said head shell.  
     
     
         6 . The golf club head as defined in  claim 1 , wherein said neck member is connected with said head shell by brazing.
