Abstract

A pure titanium building material having high secular discoloration resistance is formed of pure titanium having an Fe content of 0.08% by mass or below, a Nb content of 0.02% by mass or below, and a Co content of 0.02% by mass or below.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A pure titanium building material formed of pure titanium having an Fe content of 0.08% by mass or below, a Nb content of 0.02% by mass or below, and a Co content of 0.02% by mass or below.  
     
     
         2 . The pure titanium building material according to  claim 1  having a surface oxide film of 170 Å or blow in thickness.  
     
     
         3 . A pure titanium building material manufacturing method comprising the steps of: 
 forming a pure titanium building material of pure titanium having an Fe content of 0.08% by mass or below, an Nb content of 0.02% by mass or below and a Co content of 0.02% by mass or below; and    pickling the pure titanium building material; and    heating the pickled pure titanium building material at a temperature X (° C.) in the range of 130 to 280° C. for a heating time T (min) so as to meet a condition expressed by: T≧239408×X −2.3237 .
