Abstract

A slide fastener with a separable bottom end stop enabling a reinforcement portion of the separable bottom end stop to be sewed securely and ribs at a sewing position not to be damaged by a sewing needle. The reinforcement portion formed integrally on a lower half portion of each of a box pin and an insert pin of the separable bottom end stop using synthetic resin is exposed on the fastener tape and constituted of an auxiliary member and ribs formed at a sewing position to be sewed to a sewing object. The rib is formed like its height is 0.5 to 0.85 mm and width 0.6 to 0.9 mm, expanded gradually from a vertex to a base portion. A gap portion, wider than the base portion of the rib, is formed between adjoining ribs, therefore the rib avoids strike of a sewing needle not to be damaged thereby and the gap portion ensures sewing of the fastener tape onto the sewing object.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A slide fastener with a separable bottom end stop in which fastener elements are attached to opposing side edges of a pair of fastener tapes, comprising the separable bottom end stop made of synthetic resin which is attached to the side edge of the fastener tape at an end portion of the fastener elements, and a reinforcement portion provided integrally with the separable bottom end stop extended toward at least one face of the fastener tape, the reinforcement portions being formed of plural ribs connected to the separable bottom end stop,
wherein the ribs are formed at a sewing position to an sewing object such that its height H is 0.5 to 0.85 mm and its width W is 0.6 to 0.9 mm and that they are expanded gradually from a vertex to a base portion and there is provided a gap portion wider than the base portion of the rib between the ribs.

2 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom end stop according to claim 1 , wherein the rib at the sewing position in the reinforcement portion has a chamfering portion whose vertex is chamfered.

3 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom end stop according to claim 2 , wherein the chamfering portion of the rib is formed into an arc-like configuration having a radius r of 0.05 to 0.1 mm in a sectional shape.

4 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom end stop according to claim 1 , wherein a size S of the gap portion between the adjacent ribs at the sewing position in the reinforcement portion is 2.0 to 2.5 mm while the ribs are disposed in parallel in a width direction of the fastener tape.

5 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom stop end according to claim 1 , wherein an inclination angle of the rib on the base portion at the sewing position in the reinforcement portion is indicated by tan θ=H/(W/2) while tan θ satisfies 1.1≦tan θ≦2.9.

6 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom end stop according to claim 5 , wherein the inclination angle θ is in a range of 55° to 70°.

7 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom end stop according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs at the sewing position in the reinforcement portion are disposed through an auxiliary member provided on the side face of the separable bottom end stop.

8 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom end stop according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs at the sewing position in the reinforcement portion are disposed directly on the side face of the separable bottom end stop.

9 . The slide fastener with the separable bottom end stop according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs at the sewing position in the reinforcement portion are disposed symmetrically on both front and rear faces of the fastener tape.
