Abstract
In one form, an apparatus for improving the storage capacity of a building is described. A container capable of storing items is stored in a building. A first positioning system, such as a trolley, carousel or carrying cage, locates the container and positions the container for transport. A second positioning system transports the container to another location in the building and implants the container into a room. The container contains a room concept, such as a kitchen or bedroom, thereby enabling a room to be transformed into differing rooms.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An apparatus for improving storage capacity comprising:
a building including a room; at least one storage container, wherein said storage container contains a room concept; a first positioning system, wherein said first positioning system locates said at least one storage container; and a second positioning system, wherein said second positioning system obtains said at least one storage container and replaces said room with said at least one storage container.
2 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said room is a closet.
3 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said first positioning system is a trolley.
4 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said first positioning system is a carousel.
5 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said first positioning system is a carrying cage.
6 . The apparatus as described in claim 5 , wherein said carrying cage further includes a lifting system.
7 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said second positioning system is an electric winch.
8 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said second positioning system is a lifting platform.
9 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said storage containers are movable in three dimensions.
10 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said storage containers are accessible from both sides.
11 . An apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein said first positioning system and second positioning system are controlled by a control system.
12 . An apparatus as described in claim 11 , wherein said control system monitors the frequency that said storage container replaces said room.
13 . A method comprising:
providing a building, wherein said building includes a room; providing a container, wherein said container contains a room concept; and exchanging said room with said container.
14 . A method as described in claim 13 , wherein said room is a closet.
15 . A method as described in claim 13 , wherein said storage containers are movable in three dimensions.
16 . A method as described in claim 13 , wherein said storage containers are accessible from both sides.
17 . A method as described in claim 13 , further comprising:
locating the position of said storage container; positioning said container for transport; and transporting said container to said room, wherein the arrival of said container to said room exchanges said container with said room.
18 . A method as described in claim 13 , wherein said building is a human dwelling.
19 . A method as described in claim 13 , further comprising:
opening said container after exchanging said container with said room; and positioning the room concept contained within said container for use by a user.
20 . An apparatus for changing rooms comprising:
a building including a room; a storage container, wherein said storage container contains a room concept; and means for exchanging said storage container with said room.
21 . The apparatus as described in claim 20 , wherein said building is a human dwelling.
22 . The apparatus as described in claim 20 , wherein the means for exchanging said storage container with said room further comprises:
means for locating the position of said storage container; means for positioning said storage container for transport; and means for transporting said storage container to said room, wherein the arrival of said storage container to said room exchanges said room with said storage container.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
