Water pressure regulator bracket

Abstract

A diaphragm operated water pressure regulator switchable between an operating mode and a flushing mode by changing the relative positions of the water inlet port and the valve in the regulator. By moving the port to a position in which the valve cannot close the inlet port, water at full line pressure enters the watering system to flush the system. A mounting bracket is also disclosed which independently suspends the regulator and a support pipe from a cable in the poultry house such that the regulator can be removed from the watering system without affecting the support pipe.

A mounting bracket for suspending a support member and a pressure regulator in a poultry house, the regulator being part of a drinking system for poultry, the pressure regulator having an inlet in communication with a source of water and an outlet in communication with at least one drinking station; the bracket including 
 a base;    a first member wall and a second wall member, said first and second wall members being sized and shaped to define a passage within which said support member is received;    a cable operatively connected to at least one of said first and second wall members at one end and connected to a support structure of said poultry house at another end; and    fasteners extending through said base to connect said regulator to said bracket.    
     
     
         2 . The bracket of  claim 1  wherein said support member is a pipe.  
     
     
         3 . The bracket of  claim 2  including an arm extending from each saidwall member, said arms being adjacent each other and connectable together to draw said first and second wall members into gripping engagement with said support pipe, said cable being connected to at least one of said arms.  
     
     
         4 . A mounting bracket for suspending a support member and a pressure regulator in a poultry house and for securely coupling said support member to said regulator; said mounting bracket including; 
 a base securable to said regulator;    a first wall member and a second wall member extending from said base, said first and second wall members being sized and shaped to define a passage for receiving said support member;    an arm extending from each said wall member, said arms being adjacent each other and connectable together to draw said first and second wall members into gripping engagement with said support members, said arms being connectable to a respective cable depending from a support structure in said house so as to suspend said regulator from said support member, whereby said regulator can be removed from said mounting bracket without disconnecting said mounting bracket from said support pipe to maintain connection of said support pipe to said cable.    
     
     
         5 . The improvement of  claim 4  wherein said bracket is stamped from a single piece of sheet metal.  
     
     
         6 . The improvement of  claim 4  wherein said support member is a pipe.
