Riser-tensioning device balanced by horizontal force

Abstract

A device in the riser-tensioning device or a vessel ( 1 ), in which a wire ( 30 ) is connected to a riser ( 8 ) and extends from the riser ( 8 ) up to and over pulley wheels ( 18′, 18 ″) and on to a wire-tensioning device ( 22 ), the two parts of the wire ( 30 ) extending in opposite, essentially horizontal directions out from the pulley wheels ( 18′, 18 ″).

1 . a device in a riser-tensioning device of a vessel ( 1 ), in which a wire ( 30 ) is connected to a riser ( 8 ) and extends from the riser ( 8 ) up to and over pulley wheels ( 18 ′,  18 ″) and further on to a wire-tensioning device ( 22 ), characterized in that the two parts of the wire ( 30 ) extend in opposite, substantially horizontal direction out from the pulley wheels ( 18 ′,  18 ″):  
     
     
         2 . A device according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the wire ( 30 ) extends movably through the wire-tensioning device ( 22 ).  
     
     
         3 . A device according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the pulley wheels ( 18 ′,  18 ″) are connected to a pulley wheel guide ( 16 ) which is movable relative to the vessel ( 1 ).  
     
     
         4 . A device according to  claim 1 , characterized in that one of the end portions ( 34 ′,  34 ″) of the wire ( 30 ) is connected to the pulley wheel guide ( 16 ).
