Safety cap for a pressure release valve of a pressure cooker and a pressure cooker using the same
Abstract
This is a safety cap made of a mesh casing body and attachment frame that covers the pressure release valve of a pressure cooker. The stainless steel wavy mesh has openings of equal size or smaller than the air intake apertures of the pressure release valve. The mesh catches food and prevents the pressure release valve from clogging. There are three main ways to install the safety cap to the pressure cooker: directly attaching it to the pressure release valve via the attachment frame; directly attaching it to the lid; and attaching it to a specialized lid chamber. If the pressure cooker is made of aluminum or other materials, then the safety cap can be snap-fitted or screw-mounted for each installation method. If the pressure cooker is made of carbon core stainless steel, in addition to the snap-fit and screw-mount, it can also be magnetically attached for each installation method.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A protective device for covering the pressure release valve of a pressure cooker, comprised of a mesh casing body and an attachment frame provided on said mesh casing body, where said mesh casing body has numerous openings that are of equal size or smaller than the air intake apertures in said pressure release valve, so that said protective device covers said pressure release valve.
2 . A pressure cooker comprised of a pot, a fitted lid and a pressure release valve provided in said lid so that the lower portion of said pressure release valve located on the inside of said lid that has air intake apertures and an upper portion thereof is located outside said lid and has a pressure release aperture, wherein said lower portion of said pressure release valve is covered with a protective device that is comprised of a mesh casing body and an attachment frame, said mesh casing body having numerous openings each of equal size or smaller than the air intake apertures of said pressure release valve.
3 . The pressure cooker according to claim 2 , wherein said protective device is attached via said attachment frame to said lower portion of said pressure release valve so as to cover said lower portion of said pressure release valve.
4 . The pressure cooker according to claim 2 , wherein said protective device is attached via said attachment frame to an under surface of said lid so as to cover said lower portion of said pressure release valve.
5 . The pressure cooker according to claim 3 , wherein said protective device is magnetically attached to said lower portion of said pressure release valve.
6 . The pressure cooker according to claim 4 , wherein said protective device is magnetically attached to said inner surface of said lid.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
