Abstract

Moulding strip, preferably a moulding strip for use in the transition between a floor covering and a wall, which floor covering consists of floor elements provided with a decor. Decor comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations which demarcations are arranged at a predetermined mutual distance A. The moulding strip is provided with a decor which comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations. The demarcations are arranged at a mutual distance A′ whereby A=A′±(0,1×A), preferably is A=A′±(0.05×A), most preferably A=A′±(0.005×A).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Moulding strip, preferably a moulding strip for use in the transition between a floor covering and a wall, which floor covering consists of floor elements provided with a decor which decor comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations which demarcations are arranged at a predetermined mutual distance A, characterised in that the moulding strip is provided with a decor which comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations which demarcations are arranged at a mutual distance A′ whereby A=A′±(0,1×A), preferably is A=A′±(0,05×A), most preferably A=A′±(0,005×A).

2 . Moulding strip according to claim 1 , characterised in that the moulding strip is provided with at least two decor elements.

3 . Moulding strip according to claim 1 , characterised in that the moulding strip is provided with N′ decor elements where N′ is an integer between 3 and 50 and that the floor covering is provided with N decor elements where N is an integer, N×A=N′×A′±(0,005×A×N) if N=N′.

4 . Moulding strip according to claim 1 , characterised in that the moulding strip is provided with N′ decor elements where N′ is an integer between 3 and 50 and that the floor covering is provided with N decor elements where N is an integer, N×A=N′×A′±(0,001×A×N) if N N′.

5 . Moulding strip according to claim 1 , characterised in that the moulding strip is provided with N′ decor elements where N′ is an integer between 3 and 50 and that the floor covering is provided with N decor elements where N is an integer, N×A=N′×A′±(0,0002×A×N) if N=N′.

6 . A process for the manufacturing of a moulding strip according to claim 1 , characterised in that a foil provided with a decor which comprises a number of decor elements with a mutual distance A′ and with intermediate demarcation is glued on an elongated carrier, that the length L over N numbers of decor elements with the length A including the same number of demarcations on the floor covering is determined whereby a centre is selected on the moulding strip, from which centre 0,5L is measured on both sides of the selected centre, that the centre is arranged in the centre of a decor element A′ where N isn't an even number and in the middle of a demarcation between two decor elements A′ where N is an even number, whereupon the moulding strip is cut on the measured positions 0.5L from the selected centre so that a moulding strip with a length L′ is obtained, whereby L=L′.

7 . A process according to claim 6 , characterised in that the foil is arranged so that the direction of extension of the demarcations are mainly perpendicular to the extension of the moulding strip.

8 . A process according to claim 6 or 7 , characterised in that the foil is constituted by a thermoplastic material.

9 . A process according to claim 6 or 7 , characterised in that the foil is constituted by one or more papers impregnated with thermosetting resin.
