Abstract

A wilderness stealth device is, in the preferred embodiment, an attachment to a hunting boot or hiking boot which has a sole plate for contact with the bottom of the boot. Attached to the bottom of the sole plate is at least one hoof-like structure for supporting the boot of the user. When walking in a wilderness area the sounds made by a user wearing the wilderness stealth device resemble the sounds of walking animals indigenous to the wilderness area as compared to the sounds made by using only ordinary hunting boots or hiking boots.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

         1 . A wilderness stealth device comprising:
 a) a sole plate; and b) at least one hoof-like structure disposed between said sole plate and ground when said wilderness stealth device is being used.

         2 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 1 wherein said at least one hoof type structure comprises at least two hoof pieces.

         3 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 2 wherein said two hoof pieces are located towards a toe end of said sole plate and at least one vertical support is disposed between said sole plate and ground and is located towards a heal end of said sole plate.

         4 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 2 further comprising:
 a) a collar for attaching to a leg of a user;
 b) a brace connected between said collar and said sole plate such that said collar and said brace provide stability to said user.

         5 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 4 wherein said brace is comprised of an upper brace and a lower brace which are articulated.

         6 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 1 wherein said wilderness stealth device is a boot attachment and is secured to said boot by at least one strap attached to said sole plate and placed around a user's boot and fastened in place.

         7 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 2 wherein said at least two hoof pieces each consist of a half of an animal's hoof.

         8 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 7 wherein said animal's hoof is a cow's hoof.

         9 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 2 wherein said at least two hoof pieces are deer hoofs.

         10 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 1 wherein said at least one hoof-like structure is of a predetermined shape which produces a footfall when in use that is similar to an animal's footfall.

         11 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 1 wherein said at least one hoof-like structure comprises one or more vertical structures attached between said sole plate and a ground plate shaped in the form of an animal's hoof where it touches ground.

         12 . A wilderness stealth device for attachment to the bottom of a boot such as a hunting boot or hiking boot comprising:
 a) a sole plate which can be attached at least partially flush with said bottom of said boot; and b) a hoof type of structure attached to said sole plate and which becomes interposed between said sole plate and ground when said wilderness stealth device is being used.

         13 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 12 wherein said hoof type structure comprises two hoof pieces.

         14 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 13 wherein said two hoof pieces are located towards a toe end of said sole plate and at least one vertical support is located towards a heal end of said sole plate.

         15 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 13 further comprising:
 a) a collar for attaching to a leg of a user;
 b) a brace connected between said collar and said sole plate such that said collar and brace provide stability to said wilderness stealth device.

         16 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 15 wherein said brace is comprised of an upper brace and a lower brace which are articulated with respect to each other by a fastener which can hold said upper brace and said lower brace in a fixed relation to each other, and can also allow said upper brace and said lower brace to move with respect to each other.

         17 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 15 wherein said wilderness stealth device is secured to said boot by at least one strap attached to said sole plate and placed around said user's boot and fastened in place.

         18 . A wilderness stealth device for attachment to the bottom of a boot such as a hunting boot or hiking boot comprising:
 a) plate means for interfacing said wilderness stealth device and said bottom of said boot; and b) support means for supporting said plate means above ground, said support means including at lease one hoof type of structure.

         19 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 18 wherein said support means comprises two hoof pieces and at least one vertical support.

         20 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 19 wherein said two hoof pieces are located towards a toe end of said plate means and said at least one vertical support is located towards a heal end of said plate means.

         21 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 19 which further includes a leg brace means attached to a leg of a user of said wilderness stealth device and said plate means for providing stability to said wilderness stealth device.

         22 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 21 wherein said leg brace means may be folded down toward said toe end of said plate means.

         23 . The wilderness stealth device of claim 18 wherein said wilderness stealth device further includes strap means for securing said plate means to said user's boot.
