Air compressor having stable configuration
Abstract
An air compressor includes a base having an opening to receive a bearing, an eccentric member having a shaft rotatably secured to the base with the bearing and having an eccentric pin, and a cylinder having a piston rod rotatably coupling to the eccentric pin. A gear is attached to the eccentric member and rotated in concert with the eccentric member, and a motor is secured to the base and includes a pinion engaged with the gear to rotate the gear and the eccentric member relative to the base. The gear and the eccentric member may be rotated in great speeds by the motor, and may be stably and smoothly secured to the base with the bearing.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . An air compressor comprising:
a base including an opening formed therein and defined by a peripheral flange, a bearing engaged in said opening of said base and retained in said peripheral flange of said base, an eccentric member including a shaft extended therefrom, and rotatably engaged through said bearing and rotatably secured to said base with said bearing, said eccentric member including a pin extended therefrom and eccentric relative to said shaft, a cylinder including a piston rod rotatably coupling to said pin of said eccentric member, a gear attached to said eccentric member, said gear and said eccentric member being rotated in concert with each other and being rotatable relative to said base about said shaft of said eccentric member, and a motor secured to said base and including a pinion provided thereon and engaged with said gear to rotate said gear and said eccentric member relative to said base, and to move said piston rod relative to said cylinder in a reciprocating action.
2 . The air compressor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said gear includes a chamber formed therein and defined by a peripheral casing, to receive said eccentric member in said peripheral casing of said gear.
3 . The air compressor as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said gear includes at least one bar extended from said gear to define said peripheral casing of said gear.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
