Card and currency holder

Abstract

Apparatus for securing bills and/or cards in a decorative and aesthetically pleasing manner. A preferred embodiment comprises an elastic loop forming a cavity in which bills and/or cards can be secured, a charm attachment device, and a charm either permanently or removably attached to the charm attachment device. In other embodiments, the loop is formed of two rigid or semi-rigid side members having ends attached by two respective elastic members.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A money holder comprising: 
 an elastic loop of a size to securely fit around and hold currency;    a charm attachment device attached to the elastic loop; and    a charm attached to the charm attachment device, wherein the money holder is adapted to fit around the currency.    
     
     
         2 . The money holder of  claim 1  further comprising a covering surrounding the elastic loop.  
     
     
         3 . The money holder of  claim 1  wherein the charm attachment device allows for a charm to be removably attached to the charm attachment device.  
     
     
         4 . The money holder of  claim 1  wherein the charm attachment device is crimped onto the elastic loop.  
     
     
         5 . The money holder of  claim 1  wherein the charm is selected from the group consisting of a jewelry piece, a flashlight, a key-holder, a key, a clip, a security device, an electronic tracking device, and combinations thereof.  
     
     
         6 . The money holder of  claim 1  wherein the elastic loop comprises at least one side member and at least one elastic member.  
     
     
         7 . A decorative card and currency holder comprising: 
 a loop, wherein the loop is configured to securely hold currency; and    a charm having an opening therethrough, the opening receiving therethrough the loop,    wherein the card and currency holder is adapted to fit around the currency.    
     
     
         8 . The decorative card and currency holder of  claim 7  wherein the charm is free to slide along the loop.  
     
     
         9 . The decorative card and currency holder of  claim 7  wherein the charm is fixedly secured to the loop.  
     
     
         10 . The decorative card and currency holder of  claim 9  wherein the charm is fixedly secured to the loop by way of a method selected from the group consisting of clamping, crimping, engaging teeth, hole size, and combinations thereof.  
     
     
         11 . The decorative card and currency holder of  claim 9  wherein the loop is formed from an elastic member, with a first end of the elastic member affixed to a first side of the charm and a second end of the elastic member affixed to a second side of the charm.  
     
     
         12 . The decorative card and currency holder of  claim 7  wherein the loop comprises an elastic member that is encased with a covering.  
     
     
         13 . The decorative card and currency holder of  claim 12  wherein the covering is a woven material.  
     
     
         14 . The decorative card and currency holder of  claim 7  wherein the loop is a continuous loop.  
     
     
         15 . A method for displaying a card and currency holder, the method comprising: 
 providing a card and currency holder having 
 an elastic loop, and  
 a charm attached to the loop; and  
   fitting the loop of the card and currency holder about a display medium.    
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15  wherein the display medium includes bogus currency.  
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 15  wherein the display includes one or more bogus credit cards.  
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 15  wherein the display medium has advertising copy printed thereon.  
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 15  wherein the display medium has a semi-personalized message printed thereon.  
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 15  wherein the display medium is a single sheet of flexible material that gives the appearance of being a stack of currency bills.
