Abstract
This invention relates to vertical fencing, and in particular to self-adjusting vertical tube fencing. According to the invention there is provided vertical fencing comprising a pair of rails and a plurality of fence members attached thereto, the fence members being pivotable relative to the rails, characterised in that the fence members are tubular, and in that each fence member carries a resiliently-biassed projection which is engageable with recess means in one of the rails.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Vertical fencing comprising a pair of rails and a plurality of fence members attached thereto, the fence members being pivotable relative to the rails, at least one of the rails having a recess means, in which the fence members are tubular, and in which each fence member carries a resiliently-biassed projection which is engageable with the recess means.
2 . Vertical fencing according to claim 1 in which the fence member has a longitudinal axis, and in which the projection engages the recess means to limit movement of the fence member parallel to the longitudinal axis.
3 . Vertical fencing according to claim 1 in which the fence member has a longitudinal axis, and in which the projection engages the recess means to limit rotation of the fence member about the longitudinal axis.
4 . Vertical fencing according to claim 1 in which at least one of the rails comprises a channel section.
5 . Vertical fencing according to claim 4 in which the channel section includes an inturned part, and in which the recess means is provided by a notch in the inturned part.
6 . Vertical fencing according to claim 4 in which the channel section includes an inturned part, and in which the recess means is provided by a hole in the inturned part.
7 . Vertical fencing according to claim 1 including a spring clip, and in which the resiliently-biassed projection is provided by a part of the spring clip.
8 . Vertical fencing according to claim 7 in which the spring clip is located within the fence member.
9 . Vertical fencing according to claim 1 in which fence members and rails lie substantially in a plane, and in which the projection has a longitudinal axis, the axis being substantially perpendicular to the plane.
10 . Vertical fencing according to claim 9 in which the fence member pivots relative to said at least one of the rails about the longitudinal axis of the projection.
11 . Vertical fencing according to claim 1 in which one or both of the rails has a further recess means and in which the fence members each carry a fixed peg, the recess means of one of the rails engaging the projection and the further recess means of the other rail engaging the fixed peg.
12 . Vertical fencing according to claim 11 in which the further recess means comprises a notch and an extension thereof, the extension being provided to permit rotation of the fence member so that the fixed peg can engage the notch.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
